he had then. He is truly living life fully alive. He got his finances in order through the Financial Peace University classes at Vineyard. He started volunteering with the Red Cross and it turned into a job. He is now the Senior Disaster Program Manager of the American Red Cross and he loves it. “It’s kind of amazing with what I do for a living,” he beams. “I’m part of the largest humanitarian aid organization in the world and I’m not there to fix people. I’m there to love them and help them walk it out. They’ve just lost everything they have. And I try to be the best part of their worst day ever.”

On April 22 join volunteers from Vineyard Columbus to work with the Red Cross installing free smoke detectors around the city as part of the Fully Alive campaign. “For a project like this, to even get to stay half a step ahead of a disaster, to help people not have to have the worst day ever, it’s a win!” Keith Parrill, Senior Disaster Program Manager,

Isaiah 65:17-25 describes a community that is fully alive and blessed by God. Based on these verses we developed service opportunities in five areas of need: Community Help, Community Gardens, Nursing Homes, Mom & Baby, and School Clean-up. Most of these service opportunities are launching on Saturday, April 22. Our hope is that after small groups and individuals get a taste of volunteering together, they will continue to serve regularly.

COMMUNITY GARDENS Join other small groups at one of the gardens located around the city, as we clear the ground, prepare for planting, and connect with those in our community.
