NOTICE TO MEMBERS - MEMBER INFORMATION NIGHT…Tuesday 21st Oct, 7.30pm
JUNIORS IN STATE TEAM
FROM THE PRESIDENT…Don Johnson
On Monday the 10th of November work will commence on the reconstruction of the back of the bar. The cupboards on the side of the Bar will also be replaced to hide all the electrical equipment that is now easily visible plus a new cupboard near the entrance to the kitchen which will enable all the linen that is now stored in the kitchen to be removed. It estimated that it will take 3 days to complete and there will be small disruption to normal service during the period. We ask that members be understanding of the situation. Steve Illman from Life Style Kitchens will supervise the work to be completed and I am pleased to advise that Steve has returned as a sponsor and has assisted in some of the costs associated with the work to be completed. The Committee of Management have been investigating the results of Vines Week which has been held in the past 2 years. There were considerable costs in the first year and although not as high in the second year the financial return for the amount of work that had to be done was minimal. A full review of the format will be undertaken to try and increase the number of visitors to the Club for this event. It was therefore decided not to proceed with it this year. I would like to remind members that if you are looking for a trade’s person or need assistance with any other matter please look at the “Purple Pages and the list of “Sponsors” on our website. I am sure there members of the Club that can undertake various duties to satisfy our needs and let’s help each other in this regard. Please check the website and if your person details are not correct please contact the office for it to be corrected. Nominations have now closed for the vacant positions on Committees and there has been a reasonable response, however there are a couple of positions that still needs to be filled. If any member wishes to enquire about any position on the various Committee’s please do not hesitate to contact me at any time.
