For what was the great controversy permitted to continue throughout the ages? Why was it that Satan's existence was not cut short at the outset of his rebellion? It was that the universe might be convinced of God's justice in His dealing with evil; that sin might receive eternal condemnation. In the plan of redemption there are heights and depths that eternity itself can never exhaust, marvels into which the angels desire to look. The redeemed only, of all created beings, have in their own experience known the actual conflict with sin; they have wrought with Christ, and, as even the angels could not do, have entered into the fellowship of His sufferings; will they have no testimony as to the science of redemption—nothing that will be of worth to unfallen beings? Something to Meditate! UNTIL NEXT SCHOOL YEAR! Dear Vine Haven Adventist School Community, God has been faithful this 2021-22 school year! This is our second school year through a pandemic and God has protected students, staff, and volunteers. This year our theme was “Transformed by Grace” with the theme bible verse found in Psalm 51:10, “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.” We can see God’s hand as we look back and review His blessings. We praise God for two programs starting at Vine Haven this year. The first was our High School Partnership with Lake Nelson Adventist Academy where students from Vine Haven are able to connect to live classes at Lake Nelson for grades 9-12. The second program was our Preschool program for three and four year olds. With God’s help and providence Vine Haven can now offer Adventist Education for Preschool - Grade 12 in Cumberland County. We partnered with Waldwick Adventist School for Fall Week of Prayer which was presented by Pastor Ascalon. Students learned about The Reformation as they prepared for the History Fair and how God through the ages has provided light to His people. Our Spring Week of Prayer was presented and led by our 8th and 10th grade students. This year was a special year as we also had our first National Junior Honors Society Chapter Induction with seven candidates. May our prayer each morning be, “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.” May God continue to transform His people by grace each day as we prepare for Jesus’ second coming. SINCERELY, MRS. GABRIEL

GABRIEL

To the 8th graders, I am so thankful for having the blessing of teaching the three of you this year. The three of you are so different from each other, but I love to see how well you bring your differences together to make each other stronger. Of all the things we have learned there are three things I would like you to take with you. One, you are part of God’s plan and the plans He has for you fit into a bigger framework. Two, you have been called to spread the word of God and follow the Great Commission, go and make disciples. Third and most important, Remember the Lord always because He always remembers you. A message to each one individually: Nehemiah- I enjoy seeing the way you light up whenever you are helping people. God has given you the special gift of serving and I pray you continue to use that gift always. Most of all I have enjoyed seeing what a good friend you have been to your classmates, always giving without expecting anything in return. May God continue to bless your humbleness. Yamile- You were born to be a leader. Thank you for helping plan for the events this year and always reminding me of every detail. Thank you for always being honest with me and listening to my advice. I know you have a sincere desire to serve the Lord and that will help you draw closer to Him. Derek- You have grown so much this year and I have enjoyed seeing you open up more this year and be more confident. I really appreciate your help in the discussions and the attention to detail that you always have. Most of all, I have enjoyed seeing how much you have grown spiritually. Keep walking with the Lord, He will guide every step you take. Sincerely, Mrs. Moreno
