The Cube Hand Sketch ADC 160

Hand sketch of one of the community rooms at Community College of Philadelphia. Learned about what differentiates elevations, sections and floor plans as well as how to properly utilize line weights and color to display the object at hand.

B’nai Abraham Auto CAD ADC 103

CAD work on a historic synagogue in the city of Philadelphia. The main focus was to depict the facade of the building. In order to get started on the work, I had to go on location to survey the building as there were no plans or measurements provided. The only way to figure out the dimensions was to count the rows and individual bricks and add them together. The biggest task was to align all of the various sized bricks and stones with the curvature of the oval shaped elements of the building, which was successfully accomplished.

Massing Revit

On this spread you will see two separate projects that I worked on using Revits ‘massing‘ feature. On the left is a parametric walkway that was created by assigning a family to a mass shape. On the right is an oval “doughnut” shaped mass that I divided up using mass flooring.

Philadelphia Row Home Auto CAD ADC 103

1.

This project consists of CAD work on a Philadelphia row home. This particular house required a lot of detail on the facade. The challenge was to showcase the outside of the house, while keeping all sections and floor plans consistent as well as easy to understand. 1. SECTION 3. BASEMENT 5. SECOND FLOOR

Row Home Revit ADC 163

My main focus on this row home created in Revit was to display my ability to work with the annotative features of the software. Here you can see all of the rooms labeled and numbered, all of the dimensions displayed for each floor plan, elevation markers present and each view presented with the scale properties. For this project I also had to create a deck with railing, flooring and structural beams.

Sears House

1.

Revit & Lumion ADC 163

The objective here was to make a model of a Sears Home. Some of the more interesting elements that presented a challenge were the the split roof, the front porch with structural columns and the fireplace with a functional chimney that was created as a component. 1. FIRST FLOOR 3. ROOF

Eames House Revit & Lumion ADC 163

The Eames House was particularly interesting to model due to the experience obtained making glass curtain walls, which needed to be customized in order to then apply materials and mullions to different panels. The structure itself was built with metal girder beams and tresses. 1. FRONT(SOUTH) ELEVATION 3. FLOOR PLAN 5. EAST AND WEST ELEVATIONS

Villa Savoye Revit & Lumion ADC 163

This contemporary villa was a great learning experience with creating various wall and floor shapes, particularly the first floor ‘horseshoe’ shaped curtain wall, the rooftop garden alcove and the split level ramp with triangular windows. Most of the elements had to be made custom because of the unique style of the building. 1. FIRST FLOOR 3. ROOFTOP GARDEN

Gas Station

1.

Revit & Lumion

Here for the main “canopy“ structure, I modeled the columns using ‘sweeps‘, then added a roof slab with a functional drainage. I added some details like the gas pumps, that were created using extrusions, and custom lighting by assigning luminescent materials to components. 1. GROUND FLOOR 3. SITE
