TO KNOW WHAT JESUS WOULD DO, YOU NEED TO KNOW WHAT JESUS DID

Sunday Mornings at 10:55

5th Sunday Combined Service 6:00 pm, March 30 Make your plans today to participate in this shared service with our Methodist brothers and sisters. We will host the service in our sanctuary. There will be special music and Pastor John Walker will bring a message from God's Word. Following the service we will share food and fellowship in Providence Hall.

Children's Church Volunteers We love kids at First Baptist. A big part of our Sunday morning ministry is our age appropriate worship time for kids. Because it’s so important, we need great volunteers to lead them. Parents, grandparents and other interested members can sign up in the back of the sanctuary or contact Jennifer Turner to volunteer for a month of this important ministry.

! !

2 Corinthians 5:16-21 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf:Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Playground Update The playground sets pictured in the bulletin the last few weeks are Rainbow Play Systems. After much research the Children’s Committee along with some interested parents felt that the Rainbow equipment was the best option for our church. You can find out more about Rainbow, the equipment itself, the materials used and warranty information at www.rainbowplay.com.

!

We have chosen the Sunshine Clubhouse for our toddlers and small children and the King Kong Clubhouse for our bigger kids. We are also including some Horse Spring Riders to add to the fun for our little ones. We feel these choices meet our needs and represent the best value for our money. The total cost of the new equipment including tax, delivery, installation and additional fencing is $12,722.00.

!

Many have expressed an interest in helping to pay for the new playground so we are planning a special offering next month. Before we do that, we want the affirmation of you, the church membership in our regularly scheduled business session the third Sunday in March. Our hope is to have the new playground in place by early April and ready for Spring.
