You will start this beautiful tour of Paris with the ascent to the 2nd floor of the Eiffel Tower and follow with a Seine cruise under the 32 bridges of Paris. You will go to Montmartre via the Concorde square and the Champs-Elysées. Lunch will be a one-course meal and a glass of wine. Visit the village of Montmartre, including the Place du Tertre and the Sacré-Cœur Basilica. You will then discover the Opéra, Vendôme square, the Louvre, the Marais district, the Latin quarter, the Notre Dame Cathedral, and Les Invalides before getting back to your hotel around 4:30 pm.

On this full-day sightseeing tour, you will discover all the most famous monuments of Paris in the morning, and in the afternoon you will be driven to the Louvre together with your guide to see the most famous masterpieces: the Victoire de Samothrace, the Venus de Milo and the Mona Lisa. The tour ends after the Louvre visit. No return to the hotel.

In the morning, you will visit the Château de Versailles, a UNESCO Wold Heritage Site. You will have access to the Hall of Battles where 35 famous paintings show the military history of France, the magnificent gardens, and the many water fountains and ponds with the famous statues of Neptune and Apollo. In the afternoon, stroll around the park with its century-old trees, French gardens and topiaries before visiting Marie-Antoinette’s Estate and the Queen’s Hamlet with your guide. Situated in Normandy, the village of Giverny is known world-wide for Claude Monet’s house and atelier (visit on your own). Visit the wonderful gardens, where you will admire the famous “Japanese bridge” and the inspiring symphony of colours and flowers.

A full day dedicated to the memory of the heroes of World War II. You will cross the countryside of Normandy with its beautiful landscapes and reach the medieval village of Bayeux or to Caen to visit the Memorial of the Battle of Normandy. The tour includes a three-course lunch in a typical restaurant (beverage not included). You will go to La Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach, The American Cemetery, Gold, Arromanches and Juno Beach before being driven back to Paris. There are several stops during the tour.

“The Marvel of the Western World”, Saint Michael’s Mount is one of the major pilgrimage sites of the MiddleAges. The monu¬mental construction of the abbey and the medieval village below on a rocky island in the middle of the bay is unique. Arriving in the Loire Valley, you’ll start your day touring the Château de Chenonceau. The “Château des Dames”, bridging the Cher River, is famous for the great feminine historical figures who lived in it and for the beauty of its Renaissance gardens. Next, an oenologist specializing in matured Loire Valley vintages, Daniel Gatay, welcomes you to his caves, former tuff stone quarries, for a tour followed by a lunch and wine tasting of Vouvray, Montlouis, Chinon, Bourgueil and Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil wines. You will pair your wines with a selection of delicatessen and cheeses. After lunch, you will have a guided tour the Royal Castle of Amboise, residence of Charles VIII and young François d’Angoulème, future King Francis I. In this wonderful castle, a perfect example of the transition from Gothic to Renaissance, you will visit the Saint-Hubert Chapel where you will find the tomb of Leonardo da Vinci. A few yards away from the Royal Castle of Amboise, meet the Genius in his Manor du Clos Lucé. Leonardo da Vinci spent the last three years of his life at Clos Lucé, and died there in 1519. You tour his bedroom, office, reception room and kitchen. And then, prepare to be in awe of the invention room, displaying models of the most spectacular machines Leonardo invented. At 6:30 pm, your guide will drive you back to the Tours or Amboise Tourist Office.

The day will begin with a guided tour of the Renaissance Château of Azay-le-Rideau. Honoré de Balzac called it “a facetted diamond set in the Indre.” Its foundations rise straight out of the water. The mullioned windows, conical pepper pots, dormers, and the graceful staircase (escalier d’honneur) shine. A stroll around the English-style garden gives you an opportunity to admire the château from every angle. Next, enjoy a truly authentic moment: your lunch in the vineyards of a family estate, including cheeses, charcuterie and organic wines (AOC Azay-le-Rideau). After lunch, you have a guided tour of Chinon, one of the most picturesque towns of the Loire Valley. With its medieval streets, Chinon has remained an outdoor museum of architecture and history. With your guide, walk in the steps of the three most famous personalities of Chinon: Joan of Arc, François Rabelais and Richard the Lionheart. Following Chinon, you will have a guided tour of the famous, spectacular Renaissance gardens of the Château de Villandry. You will love its extraordinary potager, kitchen garden, the garden of Love, the garden of music, the water garden, and the children’s garden. At 6:30 pm, your guide will drive you back to the Tours or Amboise Tourist Office.

Le Phénicien Provence & the Camargue SUNDAY Transfer from a specified pick-up point to Le Phénicien, moored close to the Avignon ramparts. There is time for a little nap or you can explore the city. Your first gourmet dinner on board is served with specially chosen wines from top-notch local vineyards. MONDAY History and wines: First take a guided tour of Avignon to learn about the religious and artistic importance of the city’s prestigious past, with a visit of the Palace of the Popes. After a lunch cruise, have a guided visit and wine tasting at one of the best cellars of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Find wines tasted in the morning on the table at dinner. In the evening, sail to Villeneuve-lès-Avignon and stay overnight. TUESDAY This morning tour the Roman aqueduct Le Pont du Gard, a stunning UNESCO W0rld Heritage Site, with its modern interactive museum. Return to the barge for lunch and sail down to Vallabrègues, a quiet and charming little port, a good place to rest, have a bike ride, or play pétanque under the plane trees.

WEDNESDAY After breakfast, visit the charming medieval village of Les Baux de Provence, withtime for shopping. Back onthe barge, pass through the huge 16-metre-high lock of Beaucaire and sail down to Arles, the open-air museum of Provence. THURSDAY The guided visit in Arles this morning will delve into Roman antiquity and Van Gogh’s year here in 1888. Then, cruise the Rhône River, the Petit Rhône, and the canal to reach Gallician, a quiet and typical village of the Camargue. FRIDAY For the last day of the excursion, visit a typical ranch, where the local cowboys show how they tend herds of bulls on their superb white Camargue horses. Our final destination is Aigues-Mortes, a 14th century walled city. Farewell dinner on board. SATURDAY After breakfast on board, depart to the specified transfer point.

Discover the heart of Provence on wheels! DAY 1 TUESDAY: Welcome in Avignon Make your way to the Avignon TGV station or the Marseille Airport. You will be driven from there to Avignon centre by coach. After a first lunch and a short walking tour of the city of Avignon, including the Papal Palace, transfer to the car or bike rental station to pick up your vehicle. You will then travel to Saint-R茅my-de-Provence, a beautiful village located in the heart of the Alpilles Mountains, for dinner and overnight accommodation. DAY 2 WEDNESDAY: ST REMY / GORDES Travel on the road to Les Baux-de-Provence for a private tour and visit of an Olive Oil Mill then proceed to Les Baux village for a guided tour and some leisure time to stroll in the narrow streets with a fantastic view on the Alpilles Mountains and the Camargue Plain! After lunch, an afternoon trip will bring you to Gordes, one of the most beautiful villages of France on a very scenic road, with a surprise tasting. Dinner and overnight stay in Gordes.

DAY 4 FRIDAY: GORDES / AVIGNON An epicurean delight for you today! A lovely road brings you to Haute Provence, a region between the Lure and the Luberon Mountains. You will discover the famous pastis drink followed by a typical meal near Forcalquier. Then drive back to the Alpilles Montains and Camargue to return the bikes and cars at the rental stations. Transfer in deluxe minibus to Avignon, the capital city of C么tes du Rh么ne wines. Here you will have a wonderful farewell dinner and overnight stay. DAY 5 SATURDAY: Departure from AVIGNON After a full breakfast, transfer to the TGV station or to the Marseille Airport (optional).

DAY 3 THURSDAY: GORDES / GORDES A truly impressive day on scenic roads: Start with the ancient Roman town of Vaison-La-Romaine then climb Mt Ventoux, called the Giant of Provence, in a protected and wonderful forest. Have lunch in Crillon-le-Brave then proceed to the village of Sault, in a lavender growing area, with a tasting visit at a Nougat factory. Your route will pass around Mt Ventoux through very scenic areas before returning to Gordes for your second night at the same hotel.

Adequate insurance coverage for luggage and personal is also encouraged. PRICES: Prices are quoted in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated and are based on the costs and exchange rates in effect at the time of payment. VICTOURS INTERNATIONAL reserves the right to increase its prices in order to protect against unplanned cost increases or for any reason at its discretion without notice. No price increases are permitted after the customer has paid in full. However, if after deposit has been paid and the total price of the travel services has increased, should the cumulative increase be more than 7 percent, the customer has the right to cancel the contract and obtain a full refund; (except any increase resulting from higher retail sales tax or federal goods and services tax). In this case our liability will be limited to the refund of the monies paid. Our prices do not include any items other than those specified and exclude such items as air transportation, expenses of personal nature, airport taxes, tips and gratuities, local municipal taxes. UNUSED SERVICES: There will be no refund for unused services or hotel nights. DOCUMENTATION: Passengers should be in possession of a valid passport and must ensure that they comply with applicable visa requirements. It is the responsibility of each person to advise their travel agent of their citizenship/nationality of all members of the travelling party to ensure the agent provides correct documentation requirements. Obtaining passport and visas are at the traveler’s expense. VICTOURS INTERNATIONAL cannot assume responsibility for the client’s inability to travel due to incorrect documentation. Every effort has been made to describe as accurately as possible the travel services being purchased. The traveler has to be aware that each country or region has particular features (such as food, water, weather, customs etc.) that may not appeal. There are many different living standards, practices and conditions at the destination compared with what the traveler is used to. By purchasing these travel services the client is presumed to have made all the necessary inquiries in this regards LIMITATION OF RESPONSIBILITY: VICTOURS INTERNATIONAL makes arrangements with suppliers who provide travel services such as airlines, cruise lines, hotels, buses, sightseeing, train, car rental or other activities included in our tours. Although we try our very best to choose the most reputable suppliers we cannot be responsible for their acts and omissions. VICTOURS INTERNATIONAL acts only in an agent’s capacity for passengers in all matters relating to goods and services rendered and as such, we hold ourselves free of responsibility for any delay, loss of property, injury, death, damage, inconvenience, loss of enjoyment, upset, distress or frustration whether physical or mental, resulting from any of the following: Any wrongful or negligent act or omission on the part of any travel supplier outlined in our vouchers or their personnel or any company or person not under the direct control of VICTOURS INTERNATIONAL. Sickness, theft, labour disputes, machinery breakdown, quarantine, war, government restraints, weather, closed roads or accesses, or any other cause beyond our direct control. Failure on passenger’s part to obtain the necessary documentation by the time of travel in which case VICTOURS INTERNATIONAL cannot refund any monies paid.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS Failure to arrive at the airport on time on the day of departure or not to be on time for the various convocations during the trip, for any reason. Unauthorized statements of acts of misinterpretations made by any travel agency of its employees relating to the standards, quality, services and inclusions of the vacation programs purchased VICTOURS INTERNATIONAL reserves the right to modify the itinerary or the carriers, substitute accommodation whenever necessary or cancel the trip completely. In such an event it will not be liable for claims, damages or losses beyond the refund of costs. In the even of cancellation of the trip by VICTOURS INTERNATIONAL the full refund of monies paid will represent the final settlement with the passenger. If a modification in the itinerary results in a saving, a refund would be made. Conversely if the modification should entail additional expenses, such expenses would be borne by the passenger. VICTOURS INTERNATIONAL reserves the right to decline to accept or retain any person as a tour member whose presence may impede the operation of the tour or the rights of enjoyment of the other passengers. Under such circumstances, unused land services only will be refunded. VICTOURS INTERNATIONAL, the travel agent and carriers accept no responsibility for loss of tickets, coupons or any travel documents. Written notice of any claims against VICTOURS INTERNATIONAL must be received no later than fourteen (14) days after return from the trip.
