Editors Letter Welcome to the first edition of Brit Magazine, a special celebration of all things British in Fashion, following the success of the summer we Britons had in 2012. With this is mind, we have created this issue with some of the most influential factors in British Fashion, including models, fashion houses, and designers alike. The issue also takes a look into the life of David Bailey, and his East End exhibition showcasing the great British public through a series of images collected over Baileys career. This summer, alongside the excitement of the London Olympics, which saw the world focus upon the capital, we were also invited to celebrate the Queen’s diamond jubilee. This gives us the chance to look towards our other distinctive British characters in our “British National Treasures” article, where we look at the key icons of Britain today, and what they have brought to our country. Add to this our “Stars of a British Industry” article that explores the key designers of the Past, Present, and Future of British Fashion, all the articles go hand in hand. We hope you will agree that this is definitely a very special issue; the perfect example of how truly great our country is, and that we should celebrate its success.
