I’m a civil engineer with a focus on urban planning with 2 years of professional experience and an Erasmus Mundus Master in Smart Cities and Communities, seeking to keep growing and learning in this field.

I have a background in street design, and I am committed to increasing traffic safety and promoting active travel. I have strong skills in street and cycling infrastructure design using GIS and 2D & 3D software.

ASYLUM RESTORATION Hermanita de los Pobres- Santiago de Chile, Chile (2019) Developed in conjunction with Laura Gómez

Conceived for the elderly, prioritizing the relation with the outdoors and nature. The main focus is providing the asylum with an outdoor experience, a sense of the universe throught the stars. This was a contest made for the BID

The asylum is located in a priviledged spot, as it has an open space in the front that can function as an articulator between the asylum, the neighborhood and the outside.

The central concept draws inspiration from Chile’s flag.

Upon deconstruction of its key elements, it forms a space that invites users to stargaze.

This project was intended to rehabilitate the Analco area. The asylum would also function as a community center for recreation and learning after a long time of neglect.

Study was conducted for the Secretary of Mobility of Puebla (2019). New street designs were proposed to increase the safety of pedestrians and cyclists in the area.

BAZURTO MARKET Urban rehabilitation - Cartagena, Colombia (2020) Developed in collaboration with Laura Gómez

The main market of Cartagena is located close to the sea, giving it a privileged location in the city. However, it lacks the capacity to meet the community’s needs. Therefore, the Bazurto market is proposed as a solution, aiming to improve conditions and establish a marketplace that addresses the spatial requirements of the vendors and alleviates congestion problems

It is proposed to install a dock with titanium dioxide plates in order to clean up the polluted water in the swamp surrounding the area.

Prohibited area for private vehicles, only autonomous shuttles that serve the community on demand are allowed.

This is a shared street that seeks community integration and an increase in active travel and intermodality.

ACTIVE SCHOOL TRAVEL Research study - Malonne, Belgium (2023) Own elaboration

A study was made to understand the factors influencing active school travel in the suburban town of Malonne. Belgium, like many other countries in Europe, has a large number of suburban areas which are highly car-dependent. Studying this phenomenon is crucial to designing towns and cities more sustainably.
