Wed Oct 10 - Expression Dance Event The Dance Celebration will be free to enter and you have the option of performing several dances. It is open to both individuals and groups. They are hoping for a real diversity of dance cultures and styles to be showcased. As it is being held in the Memorial Theatre there will be full sound and lighting capabilities and lots of seats for your friends and/ or families to come and watch you and support the event. Tour some of the Botanic Garden’s many spring flowers and find out what you can grow in your garden on this moderate 90-minute walk. Bring your camera. Sun 16 Sep, 11am. Meet at the Founders’ Entrance, Glenmore Street. $4 per person.
Volunteers wanted for i-sites Do you know Wellington like the back of your hand, and can put on a smile at 7am? Then Wellington’s i-SITE centre wants you. Wellington city ambassadors will be trained, but should be reliable people with great knowledge of the city’s streets and visitor attractions, and strong communication skills. Volunteers need to be able to cover at least 10 shifts throughout the six-month season, which starts in October. Almost all will be morning shifts, finishing around lunchtime. Volunteers are needed for weekdays and weekends, as well as public holidays.
