What better way to experience Kristiansand then through tasting the local brew and freshly made pastries……. Start this extraordinary tour by walking the short distance over to the fishmarket. Here you will try out some of the local seafood specialties like shrimp, clams etc. 4,5 HRS / AM & PM
Then jump on the bus for the short drive to the local brewery, “Christiansand Bryggeri”. Upon arriving you will be met by one of the employees that will take you on a guided visit around the brewery and tell you about its history. The brewery celebrated 150 years in 2009. After visiting the production area you will be invited down in the “CBkjelleren” (the brewery basement). Here you will get to sample the various beers produced by the brewery. Hop back on the bus and drive into the city center. Here your first stop will be at the “Drømmeplassen” Bakery. Here you will be divided into smaller groups and get a short introduction into the menu which you will be preparing for lunch. Enjoy preparing traditional Norwegian dishes and get a glimps into how the local bread is freshly made every day in the old stoves. After lunch you join your guide for a walk through the old part of town and city center, making short stops by the Kristiansand cathedral and continuing down to the marina and your ship.
