The hee REALTORS® E of Vicksburg Team up with Junior Auxiliary of Vicksburg The Junior Auxiliary has undertaken a huge literacy project , headed up by Allison Brewer, at Dana Road Elementary School. They read to each and every first grade class four times each nine weeks, and at the end of that nine weeks each child is presented with the book to take home. The books are AR books to help the students with their AR reading grade. That meant the JA of Vicksburg needed 189 books per 9 weeks! They had the first set. They needed three more sets! The Vicksburg-Warren County Board of REALTORS® is aware of the importance of education in our area schools. The Board, under the 2011 President David Brewer, purchased one set of books, and then challenged the entire membership to purchase a set. The book drive at the Board office on Mission Park Drive only lasted two weeks in conjunction with the First Annual REALTORS® Community service day on October 14, 2011. In that time our REALTOR® members purchased, altogether, 315 books. Jill Bishop, Association Executive of the Board of REALTORS® states, “ We at the Vicksburg Warren County Board of REALTORS® are proud of our members, and love the community we live in.
