The “Daniel Boone and his Hunting Dogs” statue located on campus depicts the companionship of Daniel Boone and his hunting dogs during their travels through Appalachia. The sculpture was built on the spot that is believed to have been Boone’s campsite. The story goes that Boone never traveled anywhere without his two dogs. Also on campus is the Bell Tower that stands tall and has been a part of the campus’ history since the very beginning. The arts truly abound in Boone.
