An Interesting Place to Visit www.cadors.ca From Eleanor Eastick: Hi Pilot Pals! I just recently discovered an informative new website, run by a VFC private pilot for us general aviation pilots. It is a nice, comfortable, sitback-in-your-easy-chair discussion of Civil Aviation Daily Occurrence Reports from the past decade or two. The items are in the form of podcasts which makes for portable listening if you're on the move by road or by foot. Host Brad Crockett gets the ball rolling by reading a report and follows up by asking a "guest pilot" various questions related to the occurrence. The discussion is informal and is the opinion of the speaker, hence not to be taken as official in any way. What has happened around an aerodrome in the past can provide a heads-up for a pilot intending to fly into that particular airspace. The guest pilots speak from their own experience and observations. As for myself, I am always glad to get advice from someone who has been there and done that. It's called local knowledge and can be as important as anything in the CFS. This was told to me many years ago by an instructor, and it makes a lot of sense. Take a look at cadors.ca as new podcasts are added every month. Each episode packs a lot of interest. How can aviation stuff be anything but fascinating! Be a safer pilot and gain an edge from the cadors.ca podcasts. Blue Skies, Eleanor Eastick Aviation Excellence Since 1946
