Comuna Cherechiu este aşezată la 47 km. de Oradea pe direcţia nord–vest, în Câmpia Ierului, putând fi accesată de pe drumul E 671. Localităţi componente: Cherechiu (1220 villa Kerequi), Cheşereu (1215 villa Quesereu), Târguşor (1203 Forum Reginae). Nr. de locuitori: 2484 Obiective de interes turistic: clopotul de 510 kg. al bisericii reformate din Târguşor; conacul Fráter din aceeaşi localitate a fost construit în jurul anilor 1600; biserica reformată din Cheşereu a fost construită în anul 1784, clopotul acesteia a fost turnat în 1645.

Cherechiu lies in the north – western part of the county, 47 km from Oradea. It can be reached on the E 671 road. Villages around: Cherechiu (1220 villa Kerequi), Cheşereu (1215 villa Quesereu), Târguşor (1203 Forum Reginae). No. of inhabitans: 2484 Interesting places: the bell of the reformed church (510kg) from Târguşor has the nicest sound in the region. The Fráter Mansion was built in 1600. The Reformed Church of Cheşereu was built in 1784 and its bell was moulded in 1645.

Lakosok száma: 2484 Turisztikai látványosságok: az asszonyvásári református templom harangja, amelynek súlya 510 kg, és az 1600-ban épült Fráter-kúria. A kiskereki református templom 1784-ben épült, harangját 1645-ben öntötték.
