As an official registered body we are authorised to process and countersign UK criminal record checks (Basic, Standard and Enhanced). We work with our clients to assess the appropriate level of disclosure, giving consideration to both the responsibilities of the role and applicable exemptions under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. We also assist our clients in navigating the maze of processes and procedures associated with international criminal record checks, providing country specific guidance on turnaround times, application forms, levels of disclosure and methods of result communication.

Our R2W solution helps employers meet UK Border Agency regulations by providing verification of identity and travel documents. With each country using complex passport security features, the responsibility of identifying counterfeit documents presents a significant challenge for employers. R2W is an internet based application which enables employers to instantly establish passport authenticity and prevent illegal working. Available either as a stand alone service or integrated into our PES model, R2W provides employers with a “statutory excuse� under Section 8 of the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996.

Our PRI division uses specialist research expertise and tools to offer enhanced company and individual screening.

With greater emphasis on in-country, media and online sources, PRI analysts conduct a thorough review of records in the public domain. Extensive cross-referencing, result analysis, match classification and escalated enquiries are used to generate in-depth reports which include detailed analyst summaries, observations and recommendations. The potential applications of this service are wide ranging: from AML / KYC and executive appointments to fund manager and supplier screening. It can also be used to build further intelligence where ‘red flag’ issues or inconclusive findings are identified following standard PES checks.

A robust PES process helps mitigate these risks by giving companies confidence in the quality and integrity of their candidates. Checks are used to confirm a candidate’s identity, qualifications and professional experience. Enquiries focus on identifying discrepancies and anomalies which may influence the hiring decision: from undisclosed bankruptcy and adverse employment references, to falsification of qualifications and unexplained gaps in activity. Recognising that every company and industry applies PES differently, we have developed a flexible suite of services which can be offered in isolation or used to generate customised screening levels. These services are increasingly applied as part of an ongoing employee monitoring policy and to all levels of recruitment: from entry level to FSA regulated roles.
