Change Makers Panel Change makers does exactly what it says on the tin – it’s all about making change. A board of young people has been set up to assess potential bids from other young people in Walsall. Bids can be for an activity, group or individual and as long as they fit into the criteria for the funding can be submitted for assessment by young people. The panel has met twice already and have already allocated money to successful applicants. Stand up for what’s important to you! Become a member of the Youth Parliament Walsall’s hunt for new members of the Youth Parliament will begin again in October 2011.

The United Kingdom Youth Parliament (UKYP) is a national organisation of young people that campaigns to make change to not only it’s area, but to young people’s lives across the UK. Walsall has the opportunity to elect two members and two deputies (MYPs) onto UKYP.

Last year over 13,000 young people voted for who they would like to represent them and since being elected in March, Trevor, Alex (MYPs), Becky and Nadi (DMYPs) have been working hard to improve Walsall and make change.
