Data Sheet Description The electromagnetic flow meter type IZMC is used to measure the flow and the volume of liquids at a very high accuracy. The measurement is carried out independently of the pressure, temperature, viscosity, and composition of the product. Due to its even metering pipe the flow meter is wear-resistant, extremely robust, and thus very insensitive to disturbances. The process pressure is hardly reduced by the measuring instrument. Special calculating procedures and newly developed electronic circuit methods result in a reliable and precise measurement of the flow which is hardly influenced by process and environmental conditions. The measured volume is digitally available in form of volume pulses. An analog signal is given for the flow rate. The flow meter and the transmitter are completely made of stainless steel and will be delivered as integrated design.

General information Every liquid product of a minimum conductivity of 5 µS/cm can be measured. This measuring method renders it possible to measure both laminar and turbulent flows. For a correct measurement it is important that the metering pipe is permanently filled. Possibly required control devices or other facilities have to be installed after the electromagnetic flow meter. It is recommended to install the flow meter in an ascending pipe. If the horizontal fitting position is used, the electrode axis has to be running horizontally, too.
