WVCW DJ SERVICES Get one of our WVCW DJs to come out and play some tunes for your next big event! The best hits from the past and present, let us know what YOU want to hear. We will make an effort to include all the genres and songs that you want your guests to enjoy! Want all the music to be clean and family friendly? We can do that too! What do you need to provide for us? A time, a place, access to internet, and an electrical outlet. Yes, really, it’s that easy! We’ll handle the rest. What equipment are we providing? We will be providing our state of the art PA sound system, a microphone for emcee services, our trademark WVCW Radio tent, and of course one of our fantastic student DJs! Is setup and takedown time included in our fee? Yes! What you pay us is based completely off actual play time! Can we help you with announcements and raffles/giveaways! Yes we can! Need some messages relayed to your guests? We can help with that! Our DJ can also manage raffles and giveaways for an additional charge. • Base rate for VCU organizations: $250 for up to two hours • Rate for non-VCU organizations: $300 for up to two hours • No set up or teardown charges • $50 flat fee for events that require “clean” music • Event organizer must provide table and a power strip. DJ will bring all of their own equipment • Event emcee services available at additional cost. INVOICING AND PAYMENT Payment is always accepted in advance, but print advertising invoices are always sent within three days of publication. Radio ads or packages that include radio will be invoiced for the total amount due prior to the beginning of the flight. Alternative payment methods are available upon request. Payment is due 30 days from the date of the invoice and can be made via credit card, mailed or delivered in person with a check made payable to The Commonwealth Times VCU, WVCW Radio VCU and/or Ink Magazine VCU. If paying for multiple organizations, address the check to Student Media Center VCU. VCU must appear on the check. Do not send cash through the mail. Please include the invoice number in the memo line of your check, and mail it to above following address.

FORMAT FOR ADS Camera-ready ads are preferred for print publications. Please send files in one the following formats: .jpg, .pdf or .tif. Ad sizes are exact and provided in this media kit. If a file is sent after the ad deadline and requires reformatting, an additional $35 fee will automatically incur. For print products, incorrectly sized artwork will be shrunk to fit the dimensions and floated in the center of the space purchased. For audio ads, please send .mp3 files at a minimum of 128kbps. Ad length should not exceed 30 seconds. If you are providing a script only please provide the file as a .doc, .docx or .pdf. Depending on the complexity of recording your ad, additional charges may apply and will be discussed on a case-to-case basis. Please send files to advertising@vcustudentmedia.com. Place the name of your client in the subject line.

INSERTS (CT ONLY) Distribution of free-standing inserts is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Inserts must fit fully into the newspaper and no issue shall exceed two separate inserts. Regardless of page size, inserts cost $450 per print issue (2,500 copies) of The Commonwealth Times. Invoicing is done after the contracted date per insertion. Inserts must be received by Shenandoah Publications, Inc. no later than the Wednesday prior to run. Send inserts to: Shenandoah Publications, Inc. 18084 Old Valley Pike, Edinburg, VA 22824. Include the following information: The Commonwealth Times, Date of insert, Quantity (2500).

PENALTIES AND FEES A 10% late fee will be added if payment is not received within 60 days of invoicing. If payment is still not received after 90 days, the account will be sent to collections and will incur an additional 30% administrative fee. VCU Student Media Kit - Page 9
