On the road again (as Willie Nelson sang) and we now headed off to our lunch stop at the Plough Hotel in Rangiora via some long quiet straight country roads. What more can one ask for “ the purr of the little 50cc engine in your ears the sun shining down upon you and the rural smells up your nostrils” heaven on 2 wheels. A very pleasant lunch stop it was with Denise McKenzie joining us to have a catch up with “her boys” after she had done backup all those times for us before Alister’s passing. Great to see you Denise. The afternoon run was short and sweet without any mishaps travelling along the Passchendaele Bike Trail that follows Lineside Road all the way back to Kaiapoi and the return to Barry & Rhonda’s to complete a “long day out” .
