VIRGINIA FRIENDLIES
The 2023 Virginia ODP Friendlies was held on February 24th26th at the Warhill Sports Complex in Williamsburg, Virginia. This Official US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program
Subregional Event hosted 100 ODP State Teams from five East Region State Associations: Maryland, West Virginia, North Carolina, New Jersey. In keeping with tradition of the Virginia Friendlies, the event focused on challenging players to practice their skills and work on team cohesion. US Youth Soccer Subregional Events allow players the exposure necessary to showcase their skills prior to the USYS East Region Selections The weekend allowed players to compete against other high quality teams and be evaluated within the competition setting. Each state team participated in three scrimmages over the course of three days. Virginia Youth Soccer Association thanks all the coaches, players, referees, fans and staff that made this event a huge success and looks forward to hosting the 14th Annual Virginia Friendlies next year.

A NIGHT TO REMEMBER...
On the evening of February 11, 2023, the Virginia Youth Soccer Association (VYSA) hosted its annual Awards Gala in Fredericksburg, Virginia at the University of Mary Washington Chandler Ballroom. This event honored the 2022 VYSA Award Winners and the 2023 VirginiaDC Soccer Hall of Fame inductees. Special thanks to D.C. United and Stafford Soccer Club for sponsoring this event.
Congratulations again, to all award winners and the VA-DC Hall of Fame Class of 2023 inductees.
