One of the great perks of working in a publishing company (even better when you are the market leader) is that we are the first ones to know what’s happening across the globe. So be it the breaking news, trendy styles, celebrity lifestyle, sports or anything else under the sun – we triumph our peer set and everyone else. How do we do it? We do it through a dedicated team that is high on energy, always striving to be the best and believes in giving maximum output round the clock. That’s what inspired us to choose our mascot - MIA. In fact it was an easy choice since all one had to do was to look around TAS and get inspired. MIA @ TAS stands for a continuous process focused to reach the top through utmost dedication, ethics, respect, innovation and loads of fun. And by the way, MIA in Greek means One So here’s raising a toast to all of us for a wonderful year that we all can look back and be very proud of. Many more to come! With warmest thanks

Real test is when no one is watching you. Be ethical and true to yourself.
What was your thought when you were first designated as the VP by Sejal? How has the journey been? Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised since it was a double promotion. Since it coincided with our movement out of AOL which was a big move then, it helped me focus on a one line brief to myself – which was not to let Sejal and the team (22 employees who move from AOL to Aegis) down ever. It’s amazing that the same focus still works even though we have come a long way forward. The journey has been fantastic – something I can proudly look back upon.
Would you like to share with us some work ethics that has helped your success? Do not take anyone for granted and as such, never cross the line. It’s a team game and no one can be bigger than the organization. Misuse of one’s power is a sign of ‘lack of confidence’. Don’t get influenced by the noise around - instead follow your heart. Never advice what you cannot do yourself. Real test is when no one is watching you. Be ethical and true to yourself.
How do you ensure that you do not let your success override you as a person? Being ‘grounded’ is relative to one’s thought process and as such the definition can be different for everyone. I consciously make an effort to focus on a goal and not any destination. If you are able to reach a certain goal, then you can set bigger goals and this becomes a continuous process.
What is the one thing about TAS that makes you really proud? It’s the team and the positive vibes all around.
Is there anything you would like to change in TAS? If yes, what would that be? I guess we have gone through numerous changes since 2007 and the team has always responded brilliantly. I would not like to change anything but encourage everyone to show same faith and confidence in the organization. Change is the only permanent thing and that will keep on happening.
If you would for TAS to feature in one of the Time Inc magazine covers, which once would it be and why?
