In 2013 Longhurst Lodge, on the edge of the Baynards Estate, was featured on the TV Channel 4 programme ‘Restoration Man’. After lying derelict and empty for over 50 years Vanessa Ford and Nik Huddy took on the task of restoring it to its former glory, doing all of the work themselves. (I love this programme; should be a fascinating evening). Meetings are held in the Ewhurst Baptist Church at 8pm. All are welcome. Non- members £1.50 to include tea, coffee and biscuits.
