Rossendale Food & Drink Guide 2019

The Rossendale food and drink revolution continues to gather momentum. Over the past year even more new food and drink businesses have sprung into life across the Valley. Valley at Work, Rossendale’s business association, has produced this guide to celebrate the quality and diversity of our food and drink business community. No food and drink business has paid to be showcased in this guide. There is an online version available through the Valley at Work website. How the entries were selected There are now over 300 food and drink businesses in Rossendale, so we have developed a set of criteria to help us choose the best to include in this guide: · For those businesses that need a Food Hygiene Certificate, we looked for businesses with a current rating of 4 or higher. · We then looked for businesses that have positive customer feedback through Trip Advisor or Facebook, achieving at least a 4-star rating. · We held a Valley at Work consultation meeting to discuss this list and sought suggestions for other businesses that ought to be included. · We then contacted the businesses and those that agreed to be included in the guide have supplied the information and photographs included in the guide. The ‘also visit’ businesses have met all the criteria but have not been able to supply information for a full entry. We felt it would be wrong not to mention them. Thanks A lot of hard work went into bringing this project to fruition. The market is in the centre of Bacup, with shops surrounding it on all sides and supermarkets further out. It was heralded as one the of best preserved cotton towns by English Heritage.
