DONALD ABRAHAM Born in 1981, Malaysia

Donald Abraham’s beginnings were centered on a mentor-mentee arrangement, with the young ar tist honing his skills under the tutelage of prominent ar tist, Yusof Gajah. Donald’s earliest work s ref le c t his mentor ’s naïve ar t st yle, but has steadily car ve d a niche for himself, and his work now combines traces of graf f iti, stre et ar t, and a sp ontaneit y that is b oth engaging and fresh. With his subtle outlines, de cisive comp ositions, carefully studie d materials, and trans forme d f igures he tells a stor y that grows within the t wo dimensions and evolves ever y time into a meticulously lyrical and theatric profoundness in order to amuse the obser ver with stories and mess ages of grand qualit y that radiates from the past and present of the so ciet y. T he stre et is ver y much in his work , with inf luences from Ed Templeton and Mark G onz ales, all of this and more are ref le c te d in his adult car toons and his comple x canvases.

Faben Born in 1985, France

Fab en is a multime dia ar tist from the Stre et Ar t scene. He def ines himself as an ac tivist of “ Love in a Broad Sense“, and questions the meaning of love in our mo dern so ciet y. He believes that Ar t must be, just like love, “spontaneous and magical, it must ref lec t instant emotion and upset realit y “. T he charac ter of Mr. Love f ight s to re establish sharing, exchange and the love coming from ever y person, ever y moment, ever y ac tion. His work leans also towards “p ositivit y “ which he de ems to b e the essential engine, “p ositive brings p ositive“. In each of his work s, one fe els an e xplosion of fe eling, joy and colour which re calls p ositivit y in all it s shap es. He refuses the violence of current so ciet y by creating a colour ful, emotional world.

Soni Irawan Born in 1975, Yogyakarta, Indonesia

Soni Irawan is from Yogyak ar ta - Indonesia. He studie d in the V isual Ar t Facult y, Fine Ar ts Depar tment, majoring in Printmak ing at the Indonesian Ar t Institute in Yogyak ar ta. His subje c t mat ters are largely p ersonal that revolve around his family and his environment, with the underlying interest in capturing the spirit of human sur vival in ever yday life. A fan of T in T in, Strapazin, A sterix and Luck y Luke, Soni uses the tradition of comic and car toon as a jumping of f point: the unmodulated color, single line drawing, the combination of abstrac t caricature with individual por traiture, as well as referencing a tradition of social criticism through the car to on, comic and satirical humor. His work of ten b elies his ambivalent fe elings ab out technology in general, and how technology seemingly connec ts us while simultaneously providing distrac tion and a false sense of communit y and communication.
