YOUR GUIDE TO VALLE CATHOLIC SCHOOLS

We are Valle. It’s our cheer, but it’s so much more! It’s the feeling you get when you arrive on campus. It’s the buzz and excitement of Warriors of all ages. It’s the presence of those who came before us that you feel at Father John Dempsey Field. It’s the pride and sense of accomplishment when you ace that test or project. It’s the humility you show, whether you win or lose. It’s the spirit and connection you feel when you walk the halls. It’s the tradition that runs deep in our blood. This is who we are.

WE ARE VALLE.

When you choose Valle Catholic Schools for your child, you are joining a community dedicated to the formation of the whole person, intellectually, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Our main goal in Catholic education is to form our students as disciples of Jesus Christ, rooted in faith and ready to enter a world full of doubt.

Your student will find, at Valle Catholic, an environment in which they are allowed to thrive. They will experience a sense of belonging in the Valle family. Through the words and actions of kindness and care by our faculty, staff, and fellow students, your child will truly know that they matter as a person to us, and especially, to God. This community is created and nourished by the spirit of dedication from our entire community of alumni, friends, and volunteers who advance our common mission. The enthusiasm and support of our wider Valle Catholic family demonstrates just how special of a place this is.

From the first moments of learning motor skills in the Early Childhood Development Center until receiving that Valle Catholic High School diploma on graduation day, we want to be your educational partner. We at Valle Catholic understand that an investment in Catholic education is an investment in your child’s future success in life.

I look forward to meeting your family and sharing the great gift that is Valle Catholic!

Committed to excellence,

Operated by the oldest parish in the Archdiocese of Saint Louis and west of the Mississippi, Valle Catholic provides an educational experience like no other. Every aspect of life at Valle Catholic is steeped in rich traditions and time-honored legacies. The family atmosphere enables each student to enjoy a learning community committed to spiritual formation, servant leadership, academic excellence, artistic expression, and athletic distinction. Students will make life-changing friendships, enrich their faith and position themselves for future academic success.

Faithful to our Catholic tradition, while welcoming members of every faith, we embrace the tradition of spiritual, intellectual, and human formation for each student. Through the formation in and practice of our Catholic faith, we lead students to discover that God’s revelation offers every generation the opportunity to discover ultimate Truth and how to live it wholeheartedly.

The Valle Catholic Early Childhood Development Center (ECDC) is an outreach of Valle Catholic’s mission to teach our children in a loving and Catholic focused setting where all faiths are welcome. It is the perfect place to begin your journey. Our early development years are the important foundation of a life filled with learning.

At this critical stage in development, our well-trained and experienced staff work collaboratively with families as the first educational partners on a journey of growth. Children enjoy state-of-the-art, modern facilities that are safe and developmentally appropriate.

Warm and responsive relationships between children and staff create an environment where children become successful learners. Children are valued and respected in their creativity and individuality through many play-based opportunities. By focusing on the interests and needs of each child, they construct their own knowledge through a child-centered learning environment.

At Valle Catholic Grade School, every student matters … every day.

We believe that education is more than reading, writing, and arithmetic; it is also the formation of the whole person, mind, body, and spirit. In an environment of kindness and love, Valle Catholic students build a strong foundation in their faith and grow spiritually through frequent prayer and learning. In this family environment, children become models of Christian living. Founded on our faith and rooted in family and community, Valle Catholic provides academic excellence during these important developmental years.

At Valle Catholic, we provide the structure to allow your child to maximize strengths and develop in areas that need growth. Valle Catholic empowers every child with a firm foundation of English Language Arts, Mathematics and Science while providing opportunities in specialty areas to feed their creativity. Guided by caring, professional teachers and staff, our students become loving Christians, lifelong learners, diligent workers, responsible citizens, and a part of the legacy of Valle Catholic. The individual attention each child receives ensures future academic success in high school and beyond.

Academic excellence and character development mean nothing unless they lead to giving back. Valle Catholic Grade School students learn to give back through numerous service and leadership opportunities.

Students learn stewardship through service to our St. Vincent de Paul Society, and other organizations such as Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.

You made it! It’s time to begin your high school career! A lot changes over the next four years. Some will tell you it happens in a blink!

Valle Catholic High School maintains an “ALL IN” culture of cooperative learning and genuine caring, giving students the confidence to develop into successful, lifelong lear ners. The main focus of our faculty and staff is to help you succeed and to prepare you for the next step.

Our academic success is clearly demonstrated by the readiness of our graduates when they reach college or enter the workforce. Through integrated ACT preparation within individual content areas, students are continually honing their skills to perform well in order to achieve admission at the school of their choosing. When a student gets to the college of his or her choice, they lead the pack by way of their readiness across multiple disciplines; colleges and businesses know and love a Valle Catholic graduate.

Academic rigor at Valle Catholic High School creates results. We believe students learn best when actively participating in meaningful activities which encourage success and foster creativity. College classes are offered through the University of Missouri-St. Louis, Southeast Missouri State University, and Mineral Area College for dual credit.

At Valle Catholic we believe our diploma represents more than grades on a report card. What success can we claim if we do not produce a well-rounded and socially conscious citizen? On graduation day our students enter a world as marked men and women; sons and daughters of Valle Catholic forever. In an environment of kindness, compassion, and mutual support, our students develop into men and women of vision in mind, body, and spirit.

Students may take part in the A+ Scholarship Program. The program provides scholarship funds for eligible graduates to attend a participating public community college or vocational/technical school, or certain private two-year vocational/technical schools. To be eligible students must have 50 mentoring hours, 2.5 GPA, 95% attendance and maintain a record of good citizenship.

Our lunch hour program helps our students experience greater success beyond Valle. Students are free to eat at anytime during that hour, rather than the traditional rushed 20 minutes like every other school. During this lunch hour, clubs and groups have time to meet, students have time to collaborate on projects, work on homework, receive help from teachers, take missed tests and quizzes, expend some energy, or even just relax. Teachers benefit from the lunch hour by having a 30-minute lunch and offering the other half as “office hours” similar to college.

Another lunch hour opportunity for students is Warriors at Work. Alumni speakers visit our campus twice each month and share information on a wide variety of professions, including creative, medical, technical, science, religious, education, culinary, legal, and more. The program is available to all students, freshmen through seniors. It was developed to expose students to as many career options as possible and help them discover their passion.

Treasured memories of our high school years are rarely of lectures and lesson plans; they are of the moments shared with friends. To make the most out of the high school experience, our students are encouraged to get involved in as many activities as possible.

Through extracurricular activities students continue to develop a service-oriented lifestyle and leadership among peers. High school students gain leadership experience in the Student Ambassador Program, Student Council, National Honor Society, and more!

Valle Catholic student-athletes of today enjoy a tradition of excellence begun generations before them. At Valle Catholic, a student-athlete knows that winning traditions are built upon hard work, self-sacrifice, and dedication.

We view athletic programs as an extension of the lessons learned in the classroom and a practical application of the lessons of our Faith. Through participation in athletics, student-athletes build a stronger relationship with God, stronger relationships with one another, a stronger sense of self-worth, and become more selfless.

The success of our 12 athletic programs is not measured in championships won, but in the character developed within each student-athlete.

Since 2012, our accomplishments also include 46 district titles and 23 Final Four Appearances. We are also proud of our 27 All-Time State Championship Titles.

Despite rising costs in education, we keep the cost of providing a Valle Catholic education affordable. With the support and generosity of our alumni and benefactors, we are able to offer tuition assistance to help make a Valle Catholic education a reality.

The investment parents make in a Valle Catholic education will pay dividends for life. It will equip today’s students with the necessary skills to succeed in future endeavors. Valle Catholic students thrive in a highly personalized environment with small class sizes, a dedicated staff, and programs that will challenge, encourage, and enrich their lives.

The success of our alumni in college and beyond proves that an investment in a Valle Catholic education is a wise investment for life. Cost is a factor in the decision making process of some families when choosing a school. While every Valle Catholic family is asked to do its part, no student will be refused an education for inability to pay.
