What it means to me: Integrity. I’ve been thinking a lot about integrity. About doing the best that I can for my clients. About being confident that my work ethic is of value to my clients. As I begin to see a shift in the market and buyers begin to flex their muscles, I really want to be the one to help my clients navigate the sale or purchase of their home. When you decide to buy or sell, who should you believe? The one that promises the quickest sale of your home? The one with the most marketing dollars to spend advertising your property? The one with the biggest brand name? Did you even know that you have to consider these questions when it comes to real estate transactions? Well, you do. For me, it is only about getting my clients the best possible final business transaction possible. No gimmicks: I don’t underprice your home to sell quickly, and I don’t make promises I never intend to keep.  I am not saying to not to trust someone, but I am saying you should only work with people whose goals are EXACTLY the same as yours. My motivation is YOU. That’s it. I get asked a lot of questions. Everyone always wants to know what’s going on with the market, even when they think they already know. People constantly say “You must be so busy,” as though the market is on fire. And while there is plenty of activity and I have lots of buyers and sellers right now, we are feeling a shift in the wind. There is usually a subtle adjustment that we feel before a change takes hold, and we have started feeling that slight shift. We have had three deals fall apart in the past few weeks when a buyer brought a reasonable offer and the seller countered back with a reasonable, slightly higher offer. All three times the buyer (in one instance our buyer and twice our seller) quit the deal. When the seller brought back the last offer they had received, the buyer decided their last offer was actually too high. In the last few years sellers have had a little more room to play around. Now it seems if you get an offer that you could accept, you should do so. I am still seeing a lot of buyers in the market, but I can see a shift in the market and the buyers are definitely flexing their muscles.
