Vagabond Views Ladies: I am back from a looong weekend in NY where I hosted a booth at the NY Times Travel Show. I met a lot of women who loved the idea of vagabondGALS and bringing the program to a nationwide state. Check out the details on page 4.

I also met a host of wonderful tour operators offering unique touring options around the world. Many of them are owned and run by WOMEN‌ so I am excited to give them a shout. Breaking Bread Journeys offers small group tours to Israel and Palestine and feature a meal each day shared with the locals. This unique company is run by two women, one Palestinian and one Israeli. They are breaking bread and barriers in

the Middle East. I also spoke with a wonderful young woman from South Africa who captured me from the start. She was a former Rotary Exchange Student. As the past chair of our local program, these students from all over the world have a special place in my heart. Her company, Spirit of Africa, takes you through the sights and sounds of Southern Africa and the bush. Again, custom itineraries and cultural experiences are a big part of their program. WE HAVE MOVED! I am excited to announce our new office location at the Eastside Business Center, Suite 23 1201 East Fayette Street in Syracuse. Our roomy office and optional meeting space will be the location for our Syracuse area gatherings. Stop in and say hello if you are in the area. Our March meeting will be held at the new location so plan to stop by and check it out!

You don’t have to be a mother/ daughter pair to join us, but I thought it might be fun to create an itinerary for this special relationship. I have two “teams” already in the wings!

Bask in the warm Celtic culture and majestic scenery of two remarkable lands. Come to know the regal city of Edinburgh, including Holyroodhouse Palace, the Queen’s official residence. Tour the Royal Yacht Britannia. Learn the secrets of making Scotch whisky and enjoy a tasting. Walk on the Giant’s Causeway. Drive the scenic Highlands along the shores of Loch Ness and cruise Loch Lomond. Visit the Titanic Experience Museum in Belfast and remember the century-old tragedy that shook the world. See Glenveagh National Park in Donegal. Delve into the history of Ireland at the Ulster American Folk Park. Close your tour with two nights in rollicking Dublin and head home after a traditional Irish Night farewell.
