“A UW Cowboy is resilient. A UW Cowboy has a strong individualistic work ethic with the ultimate goal of supporting their community.”

Learn more about Wendy and other UW alumni at uwyo.edu/cowboys

COWBOYS MAKING AN IMPACT Wendy Martinez spent seven years as a student at the University of Wyoming, participating in a variety of student organizations while earning a bachelor’s degree in political science (2015) and a master’s degree in public administration (2018). Now, she is the homeowner services manager for Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Teton Area, working to address a crucial issue in Jackson Hole: the need for more affordable housing. “My experience at UW taught me the power of networking,” she says. “My various roles and jobs at UW connected me to people who inspired me to do more for my community through social justice initiatives. Now, I continue to collaborate with a variety of organizations that work to support my community.”
