Community Impact
LIBERTY AND LONG COUNTIES For years, United Way of the Coastal Empire has been a powerful force for good in Liberty County, and in 2024, we expanded our impact to Long County! We partner with local nonprofits, faith leaders, and community coalitions to provide critical Safety Net programs, services, and pathways for Upward Mobility to help everyone thrive.
OUR WORK
Through Community Fund Programs The Community Fund aided 37,660 residents of Liberty and Long counties through grant funding for 27 agencies and 39 programs. In addition, we supported more than 1,229 residents through our service center serving Liberty and Long counties, providing information, resources, and direct services. Below are some of the ways we made an impact in Liberty and Long counties.

UPWARD MOBILITY
$4,589.46 in transportation assistance distributed to 27 community members 5,244 books provided to students to promote early childhood literacy through our Read United Program 1,269 senior citizens received supportive services 2,094 individuals received crisis and mental health counseling services
