Community Impact
EFFINGHAM COUNTY United Way of the Coastal Empire has been improving lives in Effingham County for decades. We partner with local nonprofits, faith leaders, and other community coalitions to provide critical Safety Net programs, services, and pathways for Upward Mobility to help everyone thrive.
OUR WORK
Through Community Fund Programs The Community Fund aided 10,448 Effingham residents through grant funding for 31 agencies and 39 programs. In addition, we supported 494 residents by providing information, resources, and direct services at our Effingham County Service Center.
SAFETY NET $356,667 saved in prescription costs through the nonprofit MedBank $7,733.66 provided to residents for transportation aid through Women United Transportation Fund $2,408.81 in rental, utility, relocation, and rehousing assistance provided to local families through our Churches United partnership with local faith-based organizations ®
