U of T Scarborough gave me the flexibility to explore different paths and build a degree that reflects my interests and values. A first-year biomedical ethics course shifted my focus from genetics to population health, and I now love exploring how molecular biology can improve accessible, preventative health care.

Arabi Mahanujam,

Earn while you learn through co-op.

More than 50 years of leadership in co-op education.

CHOOSE CO-OP?

Graduate with a U of T degree; a resumé including experiences across local, national and global industries; and professional skills that prepare you to contribute to any workplace.

Arts & Science and Management Co-op students typically earn $12,000 to $15,000 per four-month work term (actual pay varies by industry, role and year of study).

U of T Scarborough offers direct entry to co-op programs in Arts, Science and Management disciplines. Combine your studies with paid full-time work terms and gain 12 to 16 months of professional experience. See where co-op can take you.

The hands-on co-op program gives students a real edge in their careers and deeper insight into their studies. My placement at Sanofi Pasteur let me apply class learning to vaccine development, deepening my love for biochemistry. Co-op linked classroom theory to real experience, and the daily routines with friends – whether studying late or playing volleyball – made it all worthwhile.

Nathan Padua, 4th year Biochemistry (Major, Co-op) and Neuroscience (Major)

Build real-world skills and a professional network that gives you a competitive edge for whatever comes next – career, graduate studies or both. 50+ programs with co-op options.
