Time of Prayer
Rev. Heather Godsey
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever.
Verse And You're the center of the universe. Ev'rything was made in You, Jesus. Breath of ev'ry living thing. Ev'ryone was made for You.
Pre-‐Chorus You hold ev'rything together. You hold ev'rything together.
Chorus Oh Christ, be the center of our lives. Be the place we fix our eyes. Be the center of our lives.
BRIDGE We lift our eyes to heaven, And we wrap our lives around Your life. We lift our eyes to heaven to You.
Ending And turn your eyes upon Jesus, And look full in His wonderful face. And the things of earth will grow strangely dim In the light of His glory and grace.
May you be made strong with all the strength that comes from his glorious power, and may you be prepared to endure everything with patience, while joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has enabled you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has rescued us from the power of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; for in him all things in heaven and on earth were created, things visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or powers—all things have been created through him and for him. He himself is before all things, and in him all things hold together. He is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that he might come to have first place in everything. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him God was pleased to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, by making peace through the blood of his cross. (New Revised Standard Version)

Holy Communion: In the United Methodist Church the communion table is open to all who sincerely wish to partake of the sacrament. We serve by intinction at the Wesley Foundation. Simply come forward, receive a piece of the bread, dip it in the juice and eat. You are welcome to come kneel at the altar to pray after receiving communion. It gets a bit crowded in our small space, so please be gracious to others who are coming to receive.
