Welcome &  Time  of  Greeting

*Gathering Song

Michael Wilson   Shout  to  the  North

Verse 1   Men  of  faith,  rise  up  and  sing   Of  the  great  and  glorious  King.   You  are  strong  when  you  feel  weak.   In  your  brokenness  complete.     Chorus     Shout  to  the  north  and  the  south.   Sing  to  the  east  and  the  west.   Jesus  is  Savior  to  all.   Lord  of  heaven  and  earth.     Verse  2   Rise  up,  women  of  the  truth.   Stand  and  sing  to  broken  hearts.   Who  can  know  the  healing  pow'r   Of  our  awesome  King  of  love.     Verse  3   Rise  up,  church  with  broken  wings.   Fill  this  place  with  songs  again   Of  our  God  who  reigns  on  high.   By  His  grace  again  we'll  fly.     Bridge   We've  been  through  fire,   We've  been  through  rain.   We've  been  refined   By  the  pow'r  of  His  name.   We've  fallen  deeper   In  love  with  You.   You've  burned   The  truth  on  our  lips.

*Call to  Worship   The  Way  of  Jesus  challenges  us  to  seek  a  world  more  just;   To  restore  broken  relationships;   To  draw  those  now  distanced  from  God  into  the  circle  of  God’s  love;   To  open  the  doors  of  the  church  to  those  who  hunger  for  the  holy.   The  Way  of  Jesus  leads  to  a  new  world  because  it  is  a  pathway  of  prayer.   So  we  come  to  worship  in  song  and  word  and  prayer.

*Praise Song   Intro   Sweet,  sweet  love  of  God,   We  revere  Your  firelight  heart.

Divine  Invitation

Verse 1   Sweet,  sweet  grace  surrounds.   We've  been  sought   Through  all  of  our  years.   You've  carried  our  tears  with  You.     Chorus     In  this  divine  invitation   We  find  Your  embrace,   And  in  our  deep  adoration   See  the  light  of  Your  face.   In  this  divine  invitation   We  all  find  the  place   For  our  souls,   Where  the  longings  were  born   Long  ago.     Verse  2   We  are  all  here  to  find   The  place  where  our  restless  souls   Will  be  free.   We  were  all  made  to  see   Our  hearts  could  not  rest   Until  found  in  thee.     Bridge   Sweet,  sweet  Savior  come   Near  us  now   Into  the  depths  of  our  hearts.     Ending   Sweet,  sweet  breath  of  life,   You  fulfill   With  the  warmth  of  Your  love,   The  mystery  of  Your  ways.     CCLI  Song  #  4328096   Eric  Owyoung  |  Steve  Hindalong   ©  2004  New  Spring  (Admin.  by  Brentwood-‐Benson  Music  Publishing,  Inc.)   Birdwing  Music  (Admin.  by  EMI  Christian  Music  Publishing)   For  use  solely  with  the  SongSelect  Terms  of  Use.    All  rights  reserved.  www.ccli.com   CCLI  License  #  2899828

Time of  Prayer

Rev. Heather  Godsey

The Lord’s  Prayer

Our Father  who  art  in  heaven,   hallowed  be  thy  name.   Thy  kingdom  come.   Thy  will  be  done   on  earth  as  it  is  in  heaven.   Give  us  this  day  our  daily  bread,   and  forgive  us  our  trespasses,   as  we  forgive  those  who  trespass  against  us,   and  lead  us  not  into  temptation,   but  deliver  us  from  evil.

For thine  is  the  kingdom,   and  the  power,  and  the  glory,   for  ever.

Amen.

Scripture Reading

2 Timothy  1:1-‐14   2

Paul, an  apostle  of  Christ  Jesus  by  the  will  of  God,  for  the  sake  of  the  promise  of  life  that  is  in  Christ  Jesus,    To   Timothy,  my  beloved  child:  Grace,  mercy,  and  peace  from  God  the  Father  and  Christ  Jesus  our  Lord.   3  I  am  grateful  to  God—whom  I  worship  with  a  clear  conscience,  as  my  ancestors  did—when  I  remember  you   4 5 constantly  in  my  prayers  night  and  day.   Recalling  your  tears,  I  long  to  see  you  so  that  I  may  be  filled  with  joy.   I  am   reminded  of  your  sincere  faith,  a  faith  that  lived  first  in  your  grandmother  Lois  and  your  mother  Eunice  and  now,  I   6 am  sure,  lives  in  you.   For  this  reason  I  remind  you  to  rekindle  the  gift  of  God  that  is  within  you  through  the  laying   7 on  of  my  hands;   for  God  did  not  give  us  a  spirit  of  cowardice,  but  rather  a  spirit  of  power  and  of  love  and  of  self-‐ discipline.     8  Do  not  be  ashamed,  then,  of  the  testimony  about  our  Lord  or  of  me  his  prisoner,  but  join  with  me  in  suffering  for   9 the  gospel,  relying  on  the  power  of  God,   who  saved  us  and  called  us  with  a  holy  calling,  not  according  to  our  works   10 but  according  to  his  own  purpose  and  grace.  This  grace  was  given  to  us  in  Christ  Jesus  before  the  ages  began,   but   it  has  now  been  revealed  through  the  appearing  of  our  Saviour  Christ  Jesus,  who  abolished  death  and  brought  life   11 and  immortality  to  light  through  the  gospel.   For  this  gospel  I  was  appointed  a  herald  and  an  apostle  and  a   12 teacher,   and  for  this  reason  I  suffer  as  I  do.  But  I  am  not  ashamed,  for  I  know  the  one  in  whom  I  have  put  my   13 trust,  and  I  am  sure  that  he  is  able  to  guard  until  that  day  what  I  have  entrusted  to  him.   Hold  to  the  standard  of   14 sound  teaching  that  you  have  heard  from  me,  in  the  faith  and  love  that  are  in  Christ  Jesus.   Guard  the  good   treasure  entrusted  to  you,  with  the  help  of  the  Holy  Spirit  living  in  us.      (New  Revised  Standard  Version)
