Jersey A.I. Leaders Form New Global Company–URUS In early October 2018, two large bovine A.I. companies announced a merger, combining two strong Jersey sire lineups. Alta Genetics and GENEX, also known as Koepon Holding BV and Cooperative Resources International (CRI), have joined their forces to form the new, global company URUS. URUS boasts an impressive Jersey sire lineup that includes three of the Top 10 sires on the Active A.I. List. They are the nation’s leading GJPI bull, CDF ViceroyET, GJPI +197, CDF Irwin Steve, GJPI +186, and CDF Layne Ivory-ET, GJPI +172. “While URUS is a new name in the global agriculture industry, its roots run deep,” stated Cees Hartmans, CEO, in a press release. “The companies within the URUS family have a history of serving dairy and beef producers across the world.
