As an artist, I love the creative process in graphic design. Each project begins with learning, exploring, and problem solving. These processes translate the materials into visual communication elements. I love how visual elements work together to evoke emotional appeals and deliver messages. What excites me about graphic design are the diverse styles within it. I love the fact that there’s always something new to learn and new ways to approach solving the problems, which makes it challenging and motivating. Assessment of finished products also presents learning opportunities for growth. They display not only how and what was successful, but the unsuccessful side of the product as well. From these processes, I garner new experiences and new perspectives in the graphic design field. I enjoy that aspect of design just as much as eating an orange and dark chocolate.

As a graphic designer, I have been a part of one of the fastest growing educational institution in the Maricopa County District for the past ten years. I have been involved as an important part of the institution’s growth by establishing a successful public image, and delivering e ffective communication materials to prospective customers. As a lead designer, I have worked with numerous departments and partner companies to complete projects that were an integral part of an institution’s growth, such as Communiversity @ Surprise, Pearson’s Textbook Company, Nursing Program and ASU’s Alliance Programs. As a photographer, I enjoy working with traditional film photography as well as digital. I have worked with numerous clients on photographing portraits, weddings, and events.
