About USC Aiken USC Aiken is a comprehensive, four-year campus in the University of South Carolina system offering 49 bachelor degree programs as well as our master degree programs in MBA for STEM and Liberal Arts, Educational Technology, and Applied Clinical Psychology. Additional graduate courses are offered through the USC Graduate Regional Studies Program.


Founded in 1961 in a historic mansion in downtown Aiken, USC Aiken moved to its present site in 1972 and occupies 453 acres. USC Aiken is located in Aiken, SC in the western region of the state. The campus is 20 miles from Augusta, GA and 55 miles from Columbia, SC.

Enrollment Approximately 3,400 undergraduate students attend USC Aiken with over 500 degrees awarded yearly.

These annual events offer employers a chance to interact directly with USC Aiken students while increasing their organization’s visibility on campus and in the community. We invite employers to come to campus and interview students for employment opportunities. Our office will work together with your organization to determine the application process and create an interview schedule that meets your needs.

Internships offer students the chance to get hands-on experience in a professional environment. It is also a great way for students to test drive a career, gain skills, put classroom knowledge into action, and make contacts in the field.

There are several other opportunities for you to create a presence on campus, as well as be an integral part of the career education of our students. Career panels, presentations on career-related topics, and special events are all ways to inform students about your career path and current organization while helping them develop their career plans and goals. Purple Briefcase

USC Aiken’s online job board, Purple Briefcase, is a cutting-edge career network used by many universities throughout the country. Employers can register for FREE to post jobs to our website and access student and alumni resumes. Any employer who wishes to post full-time, part-time, internship, co-op, or seasonal jobs is eligible to use Purple Briefcase.

Employers New to Our Job Board Use the following steps to get started:

1. Go to 2. Click “New Employer.” (Click only on links associated with the “Free Account” not anything labeled “Power Connect.”) 3. Fill in account information and create a password. 4. When given the option to request a school connection (with a code), click yes and enter “USCA69.”

* If you are already registered at another university that also uses Purple Briefcase, you can just use the above code to connect to USC Aiken’s job board at no charge. Once approved by our office, you can access your account as a “Returning User” by visiting the same web address ( login?s=uscaiken) and entering your email address and password. You are then ready to go!

In addition to job postings, Purple Briefcase also offers:

Company Profile: Show students more about your company! Choose from attributes like work environment, benefits plans, and corporate culture. A company profile gives students a better understanding of a company than a simple logo or company description would. Students can also “favorite” your company. This way when you post a job, they are automatically notified. Search Students: Students can create a visual profile that outlines work history, academic accolades, and extracurricular info. It even includes a link to their resume. This visual profile is a unique way to get to know our talent.
