Say NO to GMO! Genetically modified food is dangerous, unhealthy and could make your family sick!

G

MOs are unhealthy. The American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM) urges doctors to prescribe non-GMO diets for all patients. They cite animal studies showing organ damage, gastrointestinal and immune system disorders, accelerated aging, and infertility.

Human studies show how genetically modified (GM) food can leave a material behind inside us, possibly causing long-term problems. Genes inserted into GM soy, for example, can transfer into the DNA of bacteria living inside us, and that the toxic insecticide produced continued on page 3

here are poisons in your home that are potentially making your kids and poor pets sick. How could you allow this? Well, I am sure it’s because you did not know. Common household cleaning products are very dangerous. More than 80,000 chemicals available in the United States have never been fully tested for their toxic effects on our health and envi-

ronment. Why would we knowingly allow even one drop of these

Which home upgrades are worth making to help sell your House in today’s economy? That’s the question on homeowner’s minds as interest rates remain low. But here’s the catch: Those same higher prices can make buyers very choosy. A house with a $1,600 mortgage payment last year now ha a 2,100

mortgage payment, buyers are saying, ‘I better like it.” To increase your home’s likability quotient, read on to see which upgrades are worth making and which aren’t. A new front door is worth it strict-

ly in terms of return on investment, a steel one tops the list but a fresh coat of paint can work wonders, too. A back-up power generator is very worth it, it’s a big gainer especially in areas brutalized by

storms. Also, a new roof is worth it! Not only because it ads curb appeal but it’s the first thing new buyers look at after your green well manicured lawn. Printed by: Printco U.S.A. www.printcousa.com

Barter & Trade Makes Sense

arter has been around since the beginning of time. In essence, it’s an exchange of goods and services for other goods and services of similar value. Say an orange for an apple, a back rub for 3 apples, etc. Now let’s escalate the transaction to Joe the Plumber needs his piano tuned, and the Piano Tuner needs toilet unclogged, this would be a trade. But what happens when the piano tuner does not need a plumber? Well then that’s when a trade exchange comes in, the largest is Itex based in Washington. ITEX is the oldest, most experienced trade exchange. They will assign an account to each business and like a bank will keep credit and debit

by GM corn was found in the blood of pregnant women and their unborn fetuses. Numerous health problems increased after GMOs were introduced in 1996. The percentage of Americans with three or more chronic illnesses jumped from 7% to 13% in just nine

years; food allergies skyrocketed, and disorders such as autism, reproductive disorders, digestive problems, and others are on the rise. Although there is not sufficient research to confirm that GMOs are a contributing factor, doctors groups such as the AAEM tell us

he importance of posture to a healthy life can’t be overstated. It’s right up there with eating right, exercising, and getting enough sleep at night. Why, you ask? Good posture means properly aligning your muscles to your bones. When you have poor posture, it forces your body to work harder to keep you upright. You become fatigued faster, and wear down your joints and ligaments over time. Maintaining good posture puts less stress on your body. You also align organs like your lungs and stomach so that they can function properly, and your nervous system operates better. Maintaining good posture when sitting, standing, and exercising can help you to avoid back and joint pain down the road, and also help keep your body functioning at its peak.

not to wait before we start protecting ourselves, and especially our children who are most at risk. The American Public Health Association and American Nurses Association are among many medical groups that condemn the use of GM bovine growth hormone, because the milk from treated cows has more of the hormone IGF-1 (insulin-like growth factor 1) — which is linked to cancer.Genetic engineering creates dangerous side effects. By mixing genes from totally unrelated species, genetic engineering unleashes a host of unpredictable side effects. Moreover, irrespective of the type of genes that are inserted, the very process of creating a GM plant can result in massive collateral damage that produces new toxins, allergens, carcinogens, and nutritional deficiencies. Government oversight is dangerously lax.

Not only is good posture beneficial to your overall health, but it also gives you an appearance of confidence and security. When you practice good posture, eventually it becomes a habit. You will give bet-

ter first impressions, and your attitude will even begin to reflect your new-found body language. So how does one practice good posture? It’s easy to slip into the habit of poor posture, seeing as we spend more time slumped in front of the television or computer screen than any other generation. To gauge your posture, ask a friend or family member to snap an impromptu picture of you while you’re at home doing different activities. You could also ask someone to take an unexpected picture of you while at your desk at work. Just take a look at the picture and you will see for yourself! If you do have bad posture, then you could likely benefit from seeing a professional to help restore the natural shape of your spine.

chemicals to come near our kids and pets? Your washing machine is spewing out toxic chemicals along with the scented, petroleum-based laundry detergents which contain high levels of volatile organic compounds, or VOCs. These hazardous chemicals are linked to asthma and, in some instances, even cancer, and they add to indoor air pollution. When you, your kids and pets are resting at night, toxic chemicals seep out of the plastic bottles that contain, dishwashing liquid, bleach, toilet bowl cleaner, glass cleaner, floor cleaner, deodorants. We absorb through our noses and these chemical’s damage our blood, brain, cells, cause cancer and ADD and ADHD and much more. I could even go as far as blaming spontaneous combustion on these chemicals because they have never been tested!
