The SSM Group, started with a humble beginning in 1956, as a small firm, trading industrial chemicals, tanning chemicals and dyes, is now celebrating its 57th glorious year of reputation and goodwill, with offices in Bangalore and Mumbai. The areas of interest have since then grown at a rapid pace, dealing with various sectors of the Society. Chemical Division Chemical division started their operations in the year 1956, is now the authorised distributor for several leading brands in the industrial chemical industry. Warehousing Division The warehousing division started its operation in 1986. The Warehousing division has its warehouses in Madhavaram, on G. N. T. road, National Highway #5. The total constructed area is 340,000 Sq. Ft at Madhavaram and the vacant space for open warehousing is 1,20,000 Sq. Ft. Also, an area of 21,000 Sq. Ft. at Poonamalle Bye Pass Road with 30,000 Sq. Ft. for open space warehousing. These warehouses are built to international standards and have been equipped with all modern facilities. The company is one of the firsts to pioneer into the warehousing field in Chennai and also the first in introducing RCC roofed warehousing in Chennai.
