EDITOR'S NOTE Hi, My name is Erin Kelly, a Tulane Freshman studying Finance and Economics, and I am the Founder, Photographer and Editor-in-Chief of Urbanity. The definition of Urbanity is "of the city". It is intended to connect Tulane students to the unique, cultural, and fashionable New Orleans community that surrounds us. Following fashion has always been a big part of my life and I am excited to share it.

"NOTHING SAYS LOUISIANA AND NEW ORLEANS LIKE OUR EXCLUSIVE PERLIS CRAWFISH LOGO."
"Perlis is a third generation family business that started in uptown New Orleans in 1939. We sell unique southern style high end clothing to men, ladies, and children. We’ve had the pleasure of serving the community for over 75 years, developing a unique, refined style to represent our wonderful Louisiana culture. We are the home of the authentic Crawfish polo and the original Mardi Gras rugby. We sell designer suits, provide free lifetime alterations, and have a tuxedo rental department. We have locations in Uptown New Orleans, the French Quarter, Mandeville and Baton Rouge. "

2. The Ace Hotel
You've probably heard it said that the best things in life are free. Well in New Orleans, this old saying certainly holds true. Some of the city's most valuable gems cost very little to enjoy.
Picture this - Your toes dipped in the pool, a yummy rosé mojito in your hand while the sun shines on you and your love's faces.
One of the most romantic, and "instagrammable" places to go for a lovely afternoon is Audubon Park. Stuff a bag of yummy snacks and don't forget to pack a big blanket to sit on. What to wear: As we all know, the weather in the South doesn't play around. You want to be comfortable, so wear something fun and flirty... but not something you'll want to take off as the temperature rises into the 80s. Try a bohemian sundress or light flow pants. And of course, don't dare leave your umbrella behind (just in case!)
Luckily, this postcard worthy afternoon is very achievable. The Ace Hotel is the perfect spot to sit back, relax, and soak up the sun. You don't even need to be a guest of the hotel to enjoy its amazing facilities! The rooftop pool offers an amazing view, as well as a fully stocked bar, waiter service, and delicious food. Its atmosphere exudes the same luxury and charm that New Orleans is known for. What to wear: Be ready for a photo-op. The Ace Hotel offers many Instagram ready backdrops to spice up your feed. Put on the swimsuit that makes you feel most beautiful. Maybe bring along a floppy sun hat or your favorite sandals too. But most importantly, don't forget sunscreen!

3. W.I.N.O. ( Wine Institute of New Orleans ) $$$ It's the little things in life that make us most happy. Is there anything better than a charcuterie board and a gorgeous glass of wine? W.I.N.O has one of the most extensive Wien collections in the city, with over 120 different wines available on-tap. It's unique self-service experience is one of a kind, and perfect for a first date. There is no where else like W.I.N.O in New Orleans. If you and your love are looking to bond over the finder things in life, it is the perfect spot to indulge. What to Wear: The atmosphere at W.I.N.O is mellow and tasteful. Dress to impress. Heels are appropriate, perhaps paired with dark denim and a sexy blouse. After all, they say wine is the best aphrodisiac.
