hen Vahid Zahabiuon graduated from Kristianstad University in the early ’90s, the thought of following his father’s and grandfather’s footsteps into the rug business was never on his radar. But when a new career opportunity led him back to his heritage, he quickly discovered his penchant for the industry. “Both my father and grandfather were rug merchants in Isfahan, Iran,” Vahid says. “My wife and partner, Leila, and I opened Charlotte Rug Gallery eighteen years ago to exhibit our rugs in a gallery setting while also expanding our clients’ and designers’ appreciation for the artistic value of fine rugs.”
