TOP PICKS FOR WASTEWATER AND SEWAGE PUMPING SYSTEMS
Here are the very latest product developments and services for 2023 selected by leading Berkshire based independent wastewater and sewage pumping specialist Pump Technology Ltd. The New DrainKing, duty standby wastewater pumping system, incorporating Jung Pumpen pumps, improves reliability and is easier to operate and maintain.
Benchmark for commercial sewage pumping. EffluMaxi / Compli 400. Click here to view 3D rotating view! The EffluMaxi / Compli sewage lifting station, manufactured by Jung Pumpen GmbH, is now easier to install and maintain. The latest version features height adjustable, sliding, clamping, inlet flange (Stepless) and multiple inlet connection options. It also has a variable discharge branch (DN80 or DN100), a low weight, rotatable, non-return valve and buoyancy fixing protection without having to move the unit. The integrated tank volute provides better flow behavior, no corrosion and less clogging. An updated control panel adds features such as a maintenance interval display and additional connection for an extra, remote high-level alarm.
By eliminating traditional cable hung on/off floats and utilising the pumps’ own proven rigid float arms with large triangular low-level floats, pump control is simplified and improved. The rigid float arm and large float is far less prone to clogging by debris, hence stop/start of the pump is always more reliable. Utilizing the pumps own successful float arm design also means invert levels in to the DrainKing are now lowered considerably making positioning of the pumping system more flexible since it is now easier to get the specified pipe gradient into the tank. Previously the minimum invert level was 260mm, now it can be as low as 120mm with the Jung Pumpen UK6 pumps fitted. The DrainKing comes with its own pump station control panel. This cycles the duty pump, actions standby pump and alarm. The panel has three, volt free contacts for connect to a BMS system. 5% Discount and Exclusive “Other Brand” Offers when you join the FlushMaster Fan Club!

In these situations, the solution is the FlushMaster from Pump Technology Ltd. Just like the Saniflo it fits neatly directly onto the back of the toilet or can be fitted alongside behind removable bathroom panelling. The FlushMaster is fitted with a Jung Pumpen pump featuring a vortex free flow impeller. The hydraulic pumping performance for this pump means the waste pipe can be run in many ways: Horizontally first, a double lit or up a slope. Not simply straight up from the outlet of the pump. Many plumbers and installers consider the FlushMaster as the only solution when faced with challenging installation problems. The FlushMaster is simple to install and operate. In the event of blockage, a high-level alarm will be activated. To unblock the pump, the pump can be reversed by simply placing a screwdriver into the top of the pump shaft and rotating it. The object will usually fall away into the bottom of the tank. If the blockage still persists, then the pump can be easily removed without disconnecting the tank from either the toilet or discharge pipework. Watch Video Here Engineered sewage pumping stations. WHAT POSITIVE ASPECTS DO ALUMINIUM WINDOWS BRING TO MODERN CONSTRUCTION?
Sustainable activities in the construction industry stem not only from existing legal regulations but primarily from the growing environmental consciousness of architects, investors and users. One such action involves optimising the use of solar energy as a renewable source, along with the use of various glazing products in buildings. High-quality aluminium windows ensure an appealing building, robust window systems with excellent insulation. The use of solar and wind energy must increase to 41% of the world’s electricity production by 2040. Simultaneously, achieving net zero emissions in buildings is one of the European Union’s priorities for the next 30 years. The pursuit of advanced construction solutions, including those offering high insulation parameters – even for windows and doors in aluminium systems – is entirely justified.
High strength of aluminium fenestration One of the reasons for the increasing popularity of aluminium fenestration in the construction market is its remarkable strength. This applies to both substantial loads such as when creating expansive glazed surfaces and its resilience against varying weather conditions. Aluminium windows in the brand’s systems Aluprof not only offer a wide range of products and diverse designer solutions but also exhibit high resistance to multiple external factors, including wind and fire. Particularly noteworthy are aluminium windows, doors, and fire partitions, such as those in the MB-86 EI system, designed for creating external fire partitions equipped with doors.
developer-update.co.uk
‘Our aluminium system windows are characterised by high resistance parameters that meet the requirements of both private and commercial construction’, emphasises Wojciech Brożyna, Aluprof UK Managing Director. ‘The extensive range of aluminium window and door systems makes it possible to adapt individual solutions to even the most demanding projects, such as the renovation of historical buildings and projects that must meet strict fire safety requirements’, he adds. An example of a system that can be used to create large glazed surfaces is the thermal insulated aluminium windows in the MB-86N, system, which were used, among others, in Premier Inn West Smithsfield in London.
Aluminium windows tailored to your needs Aluminium windows are also known for their high flexibility and material adaptability, making it possible to shape constructions to fit the character of each project.
07 ‘With options for bending arcs, giving profiles specific shapes, and processing this material, aluminium windows perfectly meet the requirements of modern buildings, including those with unique forms, record heights, and impressive glazing’, says Wojciech Brożyna. Of course, shaping aluminium constructions does not compromise their thermal insulation or strength. Aluminium, although lightweight, positively impacts the energy efficiency of buildings due to its insulating properties. For example, using windows and doors in the previously mentioned aluminium MB-86N system make it possible to fully utilise sunlight in the building and effectively prevent heat loss, thus reducing energy consumption in buildings. Aluprof solutions meet the strictest insulation standards. An example of this is the windows and doors in the MB104 Passive system, which are certified by the Passive House Institute Darmstadt – the most important institute promoting passive construction.
Aluminium windows are suitable for both private homes and commercial projects

Their modern appearance sets them apart, with narrow profiles, hidden sashes, and pivot windows finding applications in various types of projects. Hidden sash windows MB-86US ST, SI work perfectly in balcony doors, vestibules, shop windows, and spatial structures. The same applies to the outward-opening windows in the system MB86 CASEMENT. Both solutions offer good thermal insulation, soundproofing, as well as resistance to water and air, making them suitable for both commercial buildings and private homes. Aluminium windows are also commonly used in barn-style houses, which are currently very popular. Houses inspired by rural barns feature large glazed surfaces. Their fenestration solutions must meet not only aesthetic qualities but, above all, insulation parameters.
The National Robotarium, Edinburgh, Great Britain. Applied systems: MB-78EI, MB-86 ST, MB-SR50 EFEKT, MB-SR50N
‘In this type of construction, windows play an important role, usually having impressive sizes’, admits Wojciech Brożyna. ‘Depending on the chosen solutions, they can open or work as sliding doors providing access to the terrace. Spectacular glass walls let in maximum daylight while also bringing nature inside, providing unobstructed access to the views outside’, he emphasises.
Let’s build a better future! Using aluminium windows has many advantages. Another advantage of this type of solution is the possibility of recycling the material they are made of. Recovering scrap aluminium saves up to 95% of the energy needed for primary aluminium production from bauxite. The total aluminium scrap content in Aluprof products reached 65% in 2022. The production of aluminium window joinery is undoubtedly one of the least energy-consuming and most environmentally friendly processes. Today’s decisions in this regard have an impact on the future of the next generations.

A
ll these phrases represent a revival in traditional styles and methods of decorating but are far from what could be described as ‘granny chic’. Instead, the focus Modern Traditional Décor focuses on the timelessness of the design, the comfort, and the beauty of classic styles, executed with modern techniques and materials. Uptown Interiors is a specialist painting and decorating company based out of Hertfordshire. They are one of a very small number of companies who specialise in traditional decorating styles and due to the surge in popularity, are in high demand. Below are some of the most popular services by Uptown Interiors, and these demonstrate a fantastic way that every homeowner can introduce some timelessness and classic beauty into their home – without the need for a full renovation! Wallpaper Wallpaper never really goes out of style and if you’ve picked up some rolls from your local hardware recently – you will haven noticed that most wallpapers on the market are incredibly sturdy, easy to hang - and some are quite durable.
THE RETURN OF TRADITIONAL DECORATING WITH A MODERN APPROACH developer-update.co.uk
Every year we see the return of some sort of decoration trend that originally had its peak in the 50s, 60s or 70s labelled as “Modern Traditional Décor”. For those into interior design, you may also see it labelled as grandmillennialism, matchimalism and neo-traditionalism.
09 More recently, though, Uptown Interiors have seen an increase in property owners requesting wallpapers that are much more like the papers available in the early to mid-nineteen hundreds, usually seen with heritage work but gaining popularity in homes.
the basic white ceiling and coving that we’ve seen for years, owners are becoming bolder – opting for coloured covings that complement wallpapered ceilings or striped walls – adding pops of colour to children’s bedrooms and living areas alike.
These papers feel more like ‘lining paper’ – they’re incredibly fragile and require different types of adhesives, making them both delicate and expensive (a difficult combination). With high-end wallpaper rolls costing anywhere from £150+ per roll, you simply can’t add on a ‘roll for luck’ when the client is watching the budget.
Panelling
Due to this, application of specialised wallpapers usually requires the services of an expert. You will find that a lot of decorators do not work with high end papers, simply due to the fact they’re not confident or experienced enough working with such high value materials. Look for an expert who has hung the type of paper you’re interested in, and even follow the wallpaper designer’s Instagram. Companies like Uptown Interiors often have their work reposted by well know wallpaper designers, showcasing their skills with that specific wallpaper. Ceiling Roses & Covings Ceiling roses have regained immense popularity in the last few months. Whilst ceiling roses were originally designed in the Georgian era as protection for the ceiling during periods of heat in, they are now seen as a timeless, classic addition that can elevate the class of any room. Most ceiling roses are still cast f rom plaster, but Uptown Interiors note that there is an increase in designs made from tin, chrome, wood, iron and brass! Another ceiling decoration regaining its popularity is covings. In 80% of multi-million pound new builds that Uptown Interiors are working on, they are also being contracted to install covings. Rather that
Thanks to TikTok, we’re seeing a huge surge in the popularity of panelled walls. This timeless decorative style gained popularity in the 16th and 17th centuries and was typically reserved for restoring country manor houses. More recently, the use of wooden mouldings has been used to create the look of panelling in residential homes – f rom adding a little class to staircases to offering a timeless feature wall in a bedroom – panelling is one of the most effective ways of changing the vibe of a room. It can be tricky though, requiring expert measurements and application as well as a keen eye for detail when finishing. When done right though, the results can be breath-taking. Repainting with Bold Colours Uptown Interiors’ favourite revival is the reintroduction of colour! The beige-if ication of our homes started in the early 2000s and has clung onto the walls of our homes for two decades. More recently, though, Uptown Interiors have seen a BOOM of colour specif ications for properties that look more like a thesis than a one pager! Colour is back and it’s bolder and more beautiful than ever. Paints have evolved over time and whilst white is very forgiving when it comes to rookie error, colour application is a little more difficult. Especially when using specialised paints such as eco paints or the more expensive formulas. High end paints usually have a huge range of colours, and colours that stay vibrant for
longer – making them an effective choice. Unfortunately for those with less experience in application, expensive paints are less forgiving when it comes to imperfections. These types of paints require precision when it comes to preparation of surfaces as well as the application itself. When deciding whether to paint yourself or use an expert, be sure to calculate the cost of materials and as with wallpaper, look for companies whose work is shared by experts or the paint manufacturers themselves! When it comes to adding timeless styles to your home, there’s a lot that can be said about looking at traditional decorating methods. But be sure to consider consulting a company that not only understands traditional styles, but applies them with a modern approach. About Uptown Interiors Uptown Interiors was founded by industry veteran, Pawel Wasik (“Pav”) Pav has worked in the high-end decorating industry for over 17 years and is well known in the industry for his attention to detail and unwavering commitment to quality. He works closely with clients on all stages of the project – f rom colour consultation through to delivery. Uptown Interiors specialises in traditional decorating methods using modern approaches and applications. They are based out of Hertfordshire but work with a range of clients across London and Southern England. Uptown Interiors are the chosen partner for high-end interior designers and developers – typically working on multimillion pound developments and refurbishments. www.uptown-interiors.co.uk admin@uptown-interiors.co.uk @uptown_interiors_uk

WOODED WONDER An expert team conjures a welcoming forest reverie in Great Falls
T
he potential for a multidimensional garden in the woods was clear f rom the start on a three-plus-acre clearing in Great Falls, Virginia. The owners of a Colorado-inspired, stoneand-wood residence sought to enhance their property with a pool, vegetable garden and play space for children. The plan developed by landscape architect Jeff Plusen layered vegetation in organic curves and set stones as nature might have dropped them. He even integrated a faux stream by recycling pool water over a cascade of Delaware River pebbles. “It’s a tremendous property carved out of the woods, so the connection to the environment was very important,” Plusen notes. A wild spirit flourishes in the backyard. Stacked f ieldstones support a pool sidewall. Irises and grasses sprout among irregular flagstones, a fire circle and pathways to an expansive lawn. For contrast, orderly travertine pavers surround the pool and gazebo. Garden installation was undertaken by Planted Earth developer-update.co.uk

Close to 100 additional trees replenished the forest edge. “We went with nothing smaller than two-inch calipers,” says thenproject manager Justin Spittal. An unusual cattle-crossing grate at the f ront entrance keeps deer out, while welcoming guests with an unobstructed and lush view. “This project was awesome,” says Spittal. “Other than the native forest, there wasn’t a single plant on site when we got started.”

FROM COMICS TO COPINGS Architectural and landscaping products from Welsh Slate feature on award-winning illustrator’s new home.
A
ward-winning British comic book artist and illustrator Charlie Adlard is enjoying a new lease of life in a new home featuring a building material that is seriously old! Charlie has been a “veteran” of the comic industry for more than 25 years and recently f inished a 15-year spell working on The Walking Dead series which was adapted for television by US network AMC in 2010. Charlie himself appeared in the pilot as a zombie extra! Now free to pick and choose his own projects, including life drawing sessions and single illustrations for music, films and other media, Charlie is working from his new home on the banks of the River Severn in his hometown of Shrewsbury, Shropshire. The house, which was designed as one of a pair by AHR Architecture, uses Welsh Slate products on various aspects – as vertical cladding on elevational features including a “chimney” on the house, and for hard landscaping, as walling and copings to terraces and walls in the landscaped gardens. The architectural and landscaping products manufactured by Welsh Slate at its main Penrhyn quarry near Bangor are produced f rom a material that is 500 million years old, but at Charlie’s three-storey, split-level house, it has been used to complement the contemporary aesthetics of the building. The cladding is from Welsh Slate’s Penrhyn Heather range, in a Honed finish, while the pillared walling is from the same Penrhyn quarry with a textured finish and the same Honed finish also features on the copings.

Charlie said he specified the Welsh Slate products for a variety of reasons. One was sustainability (the garden features an extensive photovoltaic array), the other sentimentality! “The house, as much as possible, is hopefully as environmentally friendly as we could make it, so a natural product like Welsh slate works with that remit. We also wanted to use as much locally sourced product as possible.” He also explained that his family has a strong connection to North Wales. His wife is Welsh - her family come f rom Bangor and Anglesey - so to them it made sense to source local materials from that area to complement their house design. They had always known about Welsh Slate, having visited the area many times, and eventually having a holiday home in Beaumaris that virtually looks across the Menai Strait to the quarry. Charlie added: “The use of the Welsh Slate products has been mainly decorative, and they have made a striking natural addition to the modern look of the building. It’s the first time we have used Welsh Slate and we love it!” developer-update.co.uk

HOWDENS ACHIEVES FURTHER WHICH? BEST BUY FOR CABINETS The UK’s number one trade kitchen supplier, Howdens, has been awarded a second Which? Best Buy endorsement in the Which? May 2023 report into the best and worst kitchen brands. In addition to the Which? Best Buy award it has received for its rigid cabinets for the third year running, Howdens has also received the award for its handleless kitchen cabinets, after a thorough testing process that involved both a lab assessment and consumer feedback. To secure the Best Buy endorsement, the products had to achieve an overall score of more than 75%, with less than 20% of kitchens tested scoring the required mark. Made in the UK, Howdens’ durable cabinets are made using quality materials that are sourced from sustainably managed forests. As part of the Which? test, it was found that Howdens customers were least likely to have problems after installation.
Ady Heaton, Head of Design, H o w d e n s s a i d : “We are exceptionally proud to have received the Which? Best Buy accreditation for our rigid kitchen cabinets for the third year running, and to have received the endorsement for our handleless kitchen cabinets. This further strengthens our credentials while also giving tradespeople who recommend our kitchens peace of mind that they are choosing a quality brand.” “As homeowners are increasingly looking to customise their kitchens to work within their busy lifestyles, our rigid cabinets are a great place to start. They offer the widest selection of colours and sizes making it easy to create a truly bespoke design that will fit any space and layout.
“Meanwhile our handless kitchens offer an ultracontemporary look, with onepiece construction displaying sleek visible lines and a minimalistic exterior. They are an excellent way to create pared-back schemes that are simple and free of visual clutter, allowing the units’ colour and finish to take centre.” Factory-assembled by skilled craftspeople, Howdens rigid cabinets are ready-assembled, and are intended to save time during installation, making them a great choice for projects on a time crunch. Available in a range of designs and colours, Howdens offer a 25-year guarantee on all of its cabinets, which are also treated with antibacterial surface protection on shelves, side and back panels to prevent bacteria from surviving and multiplying. Which? said that the cabinets are solidly built and received an excellent rating for the strength of the drawers and hinges. Howdens trade account holders receive access to thousands of products supplied from local stock, confidential trade pricing, flexible payment terms and a host of other services that help to save time, including online account management, anytime ordering, free design service and depot-todoor delivery. Wren looks at how the differences in sensorial, cognitive, and physical abilities can be catered to by designing facilities to suit a range of needs, such as wheelchair accessibility, neurodiversity and an ageing population. A main challenge the sector continues to face is staffing, which John Mullen, Senior Territory Sales Manager UK & Ireland at Revinate, discusses in the report. The Covid-19 pandemic meant that 121 million of the 330 million jobs in tourism around the world were lost in 2020, leading to nearly one in three jobs needing to be rehired when travel returned. John emphasises the challenge of f illing essential jobs in hospitality and tourism to
make sure high-quality service is sustained, and whether technology can play a part in maximising the guest experience. Finally, Alon Baranowitz of Baranowitz + Kronenberg Architecture talks through the relevance of storytelling in the age of information and the art of inspiring guests with powerful stories. Sophie Weston, Marketing Manager at Geberit UK, said: “We’re excited to collaborate with industry experts to discuss the current and future market trends that will impact the hospitality industry this year. As the hotel industry continues to evolve, we aim to provide valuable insights that will lead to exceptional guest experiences. In turn, this will generate repeat bookings and recommendations, creating long-term benef its for hoteliers.” The report starts with a foreword from Ruth Slavid, a writer and editor specialising in architecture, landscape, lighting and construction. Ruth summarises the focus areas in the report including automation and hotels in the digital age, the importance of good storytelling and tackling skills shortages.

HETAS HOT TIP OF THE WEEK BEWARE WHEN SLUMBERING Many homeowners are leaving their woodburning stoves to ‘slumber’ overnight to avoid having to relight their appliance the following morning.
A
s many appliances are not designed to operate in this way, Calvin May, head of technical services for HETAS, compiles the best advice on why you might need to avoid a slumbering stove… Unless your woodburning appliance is specif ically designed to do so, you should avoid slumbering overnight. Leaving your appliance at a low output for an extended period can surprisingly create a number of problems. This can include incomplete combustion which may lead to an increased likelihood of unwanted condensation forming in the chimney. This sort of condensation can damage some chimney systems.
What is slumbering?
Depending on the chosen fuel and design of the stove you use, you may be at risk of incomplete combustion when running your appliance at a low heat output. This can lead to the formation of sooty and/or dry deposits and condensation on the flue lining. Combustion eff iciency can be reduced and you may not be operating the appliance in the most environmentally responsible way. If you do own an appliance that is designed for slumbering, it is necessary to adopt certain practices to reduce the negative effects of operating at low outputs. Usually this involves running the appliance at high output following slumbering to hopefully burn away any flue deposits and to ensure the chimney warms up suff iciently to provide a good draught and
reduce the risk of condensation.
Stay carbon monoxide safe when slumbering By allowing your appliance to remain in slumber mode for long periods of time, you are reducing the amount of air available to the appliance, when what you really want for the most environmentally responsible is an adequate supply of air for the amount of fuel being used. Good combustion reduces the formation of pollutants like particulate emissions, CO and other pollutants. Most appliances are not designed to be used with the door or doors open except at the point of re-fueling. Please read your appliance instructions in case opening the door allows fumes back into your room.
Slumber mode is when an appliance is purposely set at a low or minimum output normally for overnight burning to be revived in the morning without the need for relighting. Only some mineral fuel burning appliances are designed to operate in a slumbering mode and if you are not sure whether yours is one of them, it should not be operated in this manner.
Problems associated with slumbering a stove There can be several reasons why you may choose to slumber, from making it easier to light the following day to the appliance not being sized according to the heating load applied to it, requiring it to be turned down low in order to maintain a comfortable temperature in the living space. developer-update.co.uk

LONDON LANDLORD GIVEN SEVERE MALADMINISTRATION SANCTION AFTER LENGTHY FIRE DOOR DELAY A London-based housing association has been sanctioned for severe maladministration by the Housing Ombudsman after it failed to provide fire-safe doors in a property more than 18 months after the resident moved in. Wandle, a 7,000-home landlord, was sanctioned by the ombudsman for what it described as “cumulative failures in addressing f ire safety issues in a resident’s flat”. In a release today, the ombudsman found that the landlord was unable, despite a number of visits, to provide assurances that the doors in the resident’s flat were f ire-rated and whether that meant they needed replacing. The resident also raised concerns about the general condition of some of the doors, which were not dealt with promptly. Wande told Inside Housing that it has now “apologised unreservedly to the tenant”. The resident f irst requested confirmation that all the doors were fire doors upon moving in, following a mutual exchange. However, after four visits over a ninemonth period, the landlord still had not clarif ied the f ire rating of the doors.
Asperger’s Syndrome, subsequently raised a stage-one complaint. In response, the landlord said it would assess the doors but these visits still did not establish whether the doors in the property were fire doors. The resident also wanted to know whether the landlord had responsibility for f ixing the other faulty doors she had previously raised concerns about. The landlord escalated the complaint to stage two, and arranged for a survey which found that the f ront door required a new fire door, that a new fire door was needed for the lounge and that other door defects needed repairing. At the end of this process, 18 months after the resident had first moved in, the landlord had still not replaced the front door.
Feeling this was a fire safety issue, the resident also voiced concerns about the front door missing a fire strip and not fitting the frame.
The ombudsman found that while the landlord rectified the matter by arranging a door survey, there was a delay in addressing the fire safety issue raised by the resident.
The resident, who has recorded vulnerabilities including autism and

repair, rather than a fire safety issue, and the ombudsman described the inspection at mutual exchange “unsatisfactory as the missing kitchen door should have been picked up”. It was these cumulative failures that meant fire safety issues in the resident’s home went unaddressed for a significant period and caused her worry and frustration. Following the investigation, the landlord has agreed to review both its mutual exchange policy and its complaint-handling process, as well as making it easier for staff to identify when a resident has a vulnerability. Tracey Lees, chief executive at Wandle, said: “We respect the ombudsman’s f indings, which are published in today’s report. We have apologised unreservedly to the tenant affected by this case, and are fully complying with our obligations in line with the determination and recommendation. “Extra measures and procedures have been amended to ensure that this does not happen again, and we are committed to learning from feedback to continually improve our services for residents.”

CITU BEGINS WORK ON £16MILLION MMC SUSTAINABLE SCHEME FUNDED BY CLOSE BROTHERS Citu, a leading sustainable developer, has started construction on a 51 unit MMC scheme of low energy homes, designed using the Passive House Principles, with a Gross Development Value of £16million
The development has an expected 18-month build schedule, with the f irst homes available for occupation at the end2023. The modular closed timber f rame panels are designed in-house and manufactured in the Citu factory, located just miles from the site. Operating a vertically integrated delivery model focuses on the reduction of embodied carbon and is designed to dramatically reduce operational carbon for incoming home owners. The properties are designed to passive house standards using the passive house planning package (PHPP). The homes will heat the hot water using air source heat pumps and will use Mechanical Heat Recovery Ventilation (MHRV) units to regulate the internal air quality and temperature. The MHRV units, combined with the high levels of insulation, mean that energy required for heating is around five times lower than the average UK house. The use of 100% on and off site renewable electricity, as opposed to gas, signif icantly reduces the carbon footprint, whilst also equating to lower bills than the average home. The development will be set up as a Community Interest Company (CIC) and have a solar array, which will be co-owned by all of the residents and will provide a source of clean, renewable energy on-site. Located on the banks of the Leeds-Liverpool canal, the homes at Stall will border a green corridor that passes Kirkstall Valley Nature Reserve and the famous Kirkstall Abbey, providing a convenient route for cyclists and pedestrians directly into central Leeds. There will also be a wealth of natural landscaping and the preservation of existing trees incorporated in the design of the scheme. developer-update.co.uk
Jonathan Wilson, Managing Director at Citu, comments “Our partnership with Close Brothers has enabled our business, and the communities we are building, to grow. We are excited to collaborate on this latest venture in Kirkstall and deliver places and homes with purpose that give equal priority to people, nature and high-standards of living.” Daniel Joyce, Director at Close Brothers Property Finance, comments: “Building sustainable housing has never been more important and we are committed to funding futureproofed homes, which are designed to reduce their carbon footprint as well as energy usage. We have a strong track record of supporting low carbon developments in the UK and working with the very best developers in the industry to move MMC and passive housing from being a one-off bespoke design model, to a reality for everyday homeowners. Developers such as Citu are leading this charge, we’re proud to be supporting them on their journey and look forward to continuing to work with them.” For further information on Stall please visit: https://citu.co.uk/citu-live/citu-arrives-in-kirkstall
