"Having the opportunity to take part in research at Augustana with Dr. Yardley was an invaluable experience. It was a great way to be exposed to the entire research process, from creating ethics applications to analyzing data to writing and publishing manuscripts. I believe it was not only helpful in being a successful medical school applicant, but throughout medical school it has been an enormous asset. I have felt confident in the skills I learned from Dr. Yardley to be able to critically assess research in medicine, as well as continue to conduct research with other physicians and contribute to furthering the field of medicine.
