Our university educates future experts and leaders with an international mindset. We offer one bachelor’s programme in business administration and several master’s programmes in technology, business and economics, which are fully conducted in English.
Eligibility for master’s level studies is based on previous education. You are eligible for programmes that lead to a higher university degree if you have a relevant bachelor’s degree which is considered equivalent to a Finnish bachelor’s degree.
Rolling admission is open to applicants with a degree from outside of Finland. In rolling admission, applications are processed in the order they are received, and admission results will be issued already during the application period. Applicants with the highest cumulative grade point average will be prioritised.
Students can also apply through the Finnish joint application system. Applicants from Finland and overseas will be ranked together based on academic studies and cumulative grade point average (CGPA).
If you are offered a study place, note that you may still be required to meet the country-specific requirements depending on your degree-awarding country.

Eligibility and admission criteria: Upper secondary school education (e.g. High School Diploma, Higher Secondary School Certificate) that gives eligibility to university-level studies in the country in question and corresponds to the Finnish education level that provides eligibility for a bachelor’s degree in Finland.
To be considered for admission, the overall qualification result and grades must be considered very good to excellent, including a high grade in mathematics.

The University of Vaasa offers scholarships in the form of waivers based on the speed of commitment to the offered study place, previous academic performance and progress in the studies. The scholarships can be granted for the target time of the programme, which is three years in the bachelor’s programme and two years in the master’s programmes.
Vaasa has a range of student accommodation in various parts of the city, with nearly all of them within walking or cycling distance from the campus. The rent for a student flat varies from 300 to 800 euros, including electricity and internet. A home insurance (about 10–20 euros per month) is highly recommended and often also required by the landlord.
Students in Vaasa typically spend €1,000–1,100 per month on living costs. A family of six usually spends €3,000–3,200 per month. Please prepare to have savings that cover two years of expenses. In other words, to live comfortably and avoid delays, it is strongly recommended to have savings of at least €30,000, which covers two years of living costs for one person.
