Automotive and Motorsport Engineering BEng(Hons)
From designing components for high-performance cars, through to working as a trackside team engineer or even designing the next generation of environmentally friendly vehicles. We’ll give you the chance to develop fundamental skills in automotive engineering, and apply them to real-world scenarios. You could get involved with our racing team, Team HARE, and get hands-on with the design, development and build of a single-seat Formula Student car (or comparable automotive design and build team project). From your second year onwards you’ll be able to work in a fully equipped automotive laboratory. Expert technicians and tutors will be on hand to guide you through your practical work.

Maths A Level and one other Science or Technology subject*/DDD in Engineering** or Science or Technology plus Maths A Level/136*** *Science and Technology subjects accepted: Electronics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, Further Mathematics, Mechanics, Dynamics, General Engineering. **Engineering subjects accepted: Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering. ***UCAS points must be made up of Science and Technology subjects at A Level and Engineering subject at BTEC as listed above.
Accreditation These courses are accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and fully meets the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered Engineer (CEng). This accreditation is reviewed on a regular basis.
