The Information Fair Wellbeing and Disability Services Visit the Wellbeing and Disability Services stand to find out more about the extensive support on offer to students and applicants. Wellbeing Services can provide help and support if you’re finding it difficult to balance studies, social time and personal commitments by offering one-to-one support, group workshops and strategies to help you get back on track with your studies.

Team Hud Team Hud is the University’s sports and fitness centre. In the modern fitness suite, you can find the most up to date Technogym equipment, and there is also access to badminton courts, squash courts, a combat suite, a strength and conditioning studio and dance studios that host over sixty classes every week.

Disability Services work with disabled students who have a range of impairments, specific learning difficulties, medical conditions and mental health issues. Our experienced staff work alongside you to get the right support in place at the right time. This includes discussing your needs with you before you start University so you can find out more about the support available. The Faith Centre is open to all students and staff providing rooms for worship, meditation and prayer with ablution facilities.

Students' Union The Students’ Union offers lots of services to students including an impartial Advice Centre, year-round trips and events, along with various sports clubs and societies. There are also student volunteering and representation opportunities, student-friendly spaces and a student housing service. Library Our Library is pretty special. It contains over 1,200 study places and over 530 ultra modern PCs and Macs. And there’s a huge number of books and journal articles for you to make use of. Around 330,000 in print form and literally millions in digital format. The Library is open seven days a week during term-time and round the clock for most of the year, plus our computer lab is open 24 hours a day all year round. Library tours will run throughout the day and will last no longer than 20 minutes.

Headstart Huddersfield The Headstart Huddersfield scheme has been designed to help provide fairer access for groups who are currently facing barriers and are therefore underrepresented in Higher Education. The scheme offers eligible students, who are interested in applying to the University of Huddersfield, the opportunity to gain eight extra UCAS points. This is the place to be if you like being at the centre of things. With over 1,300 students, plus loads of events, block vs block competitions and many different on-site facilities, one thing’s for sure – there’s no reason to be lonely. The DIGS Social Reps are also great at encouraging you to settle in and meet new friends!

Ashenhurst Student Houses is located within beautiful parkland with lots of outside space for a game of footy or the obligatory BBQ during the summer months. With 280 bedrooms and within fifteen minutes walk of the University and town centre, Ashenhurst is a fun and convenient place to be.

Tours will begin at 10.00 and buses will run every 20 minutes. You can stay for as long as you wish and get the next bus back to campus. The last bus up to Storthes Hall Park will be at 15.00.

Tours will run at 11.00, 12.00 and 13.00. The tour itself will take approximately 50 minutes.

If you are unable to visit the DIGS student accommodation, talks will be held throughout the day in The Sir George Buckley Lecture Theatre 10.00 – 10.45, 11.00 – 11.45, 12.00 – 12.45, 14.00 – 14.45.
