“The Chinese Society (CSSA) is one of the members of the Students’ Union, and have made a significant development with the support and guidance of the International Office of the University of Huddersfield and the Consulate General of P. R. of China in Manchester. We are the family composed of scholars, postgraduate and undergraduate volunteers from the University of Huddersfield. “We make sure all Chinese students and scholars and all other students from the University who are interested in China and Chinese culture experience and enjoy a richer life in the UK and beyond. Every year we hold and participate in many campus events such as the International Food Festival, International Week, sports events and all kinds of performances in the Chinese Talent Show. We also participate in many events held around Manchester, such as the China Song competition, basketball competition and the Dragon Boat Race. We have developed as the biggest society in Huddersfield to promote education and culture exchange between China and the UK along with other countries.”

We also welcome British and other international students to get involved with us. “We have massive truthful stories of our experiences to share with new students so that more effective decisions could be made to save time and money by keeping in touch with our society.”
Yeh Shu Lin President, Taiwanese Student Society Taiwan “Our society welcomes students not just from Taiwan but from anywhere in the world. Each year we participate in many events and celebrations and welcome everyone to join in with our events. We always take part in the International Food and Culture Festival on campus with other societies and also celebrate the Spring Festival.”
