So you’ve made it to Graduation Congratulations! But what do you do next? And who is around to provide some expert support along the way? A couple of important facts • Did you know as a Reading graduate you can still use all the facilities at the Careers Service after graduation!? • You can use our facilities whether you are staying around Reading or moving away. This PDF outlines a few ways you can access our services to help you sort your future.

Where to find jobs Since last September your Careers Service advertised over 1300 graduate jobs. We reckon to advertise hundreds more over the next few months.

Thousands of jobs are advertised on specialist websites or on less open sites or can only be accessed through networking and speculative applications. Most graduates fail to produce a quality targeted CV or application. Email yours to us and we’ll give it the look over and then get back to you with some practical tips on how to make it stand out from the competition.

Under the scheme many of the jobs are salaried permanent positions but you are guaranteed to get at least 13 weeks work paid at the National Minimum Wage. As a minimum you get experience that will boost your confidence, improve key skills, and provide invaluable business experience that will look great on your CV.
