OUR EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY At Unity College, we believe that education is a transformative journey that nurtures the whole person — intellectually, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Guided by the Gospel of Christ, our calling is to cultivate a community where every student is known, valued, and inspired to reach their God-given potential.

OUR LEARNING COMMUNITY Unity College provides a rich and diverse educational journey from Reception to Year 12. Our academic, co-curricular, and vocational pathways — including Agriculture, Engineering, Individual Care, Specialist Sport, Outdoor Education, and Pedal Prix — offer authentic opportunities for students to explore their passions and strengths. Tailored pathways such as ATAR, VET, and School-based Apprenticeships ensure that every learner is prepared for a purposeful and fulfilling future.

“ADAPTABILITY, CREATIVITY, AND LIFELONG LEARNING” Beyond the classroom, service-learning and immersive experiences —such as the Areyonga Service-Learning Camp and our international connections with our sister schools in Indonesia and Japan — foster empathy, global awareness, and responsible citizenship.

Learning is further enriched through innovative teaching practices and the integration of digital technologies that nurture adaptability, creativity, and lifelong learning.

STATEMENT OF FAITH GOD JOINS OUR LEARNING We believe God is actively involved in helping all of us to grow, make sense of the world and become agents of positive change in our communities. Lutheran theology encourages us to help young people to be wise, knowledgeable and compassionate citizens through whom God can bring justice, hope and grace.

WE CARE We believe God sees each student as a whole person and that personal wellbeing and growth are just as important as educational outcomes. Our pastoral care programs and practices help students to flourish in a community of grace and forgiveness, where each student is valued as a child of God. WE ENGAGE We know that God is active everywhere and that learning is about more than just what happens in a classroom.

Therefore, at Unity, we see every aspect of College life as an opportunity for God to help students reach their full potential. As such we help students experience new learning opportunities through a range of resources and facilities that contribute to the holistic development of our students.

WE INVOLVE We believe God designed us to live in community. We are dedicated to building a strong College community and reaching out to contribute positively to communities beyond the College campus. Our goal is to help students find ways to use their God given gifts in response to God’s grace in order to bring faith, hope and love to others locally, nationally and internationally.

WE INSPIRE We provide an environment in which students can find inspiration and purpose through caring and committed staff.

This includes the opportunity to encounter the love and grace of God, demonstrated through Jesus Christ. We believe God sees every person as unique and cherished, and calls us all to join in the grand adventure that God has for us.
