Thank you

to our donors for your generous support of the 2022 United Arts Fund Drive!

Executive Director’s Note Dear Friends of the United Arts Council of Catawba County, It with great pleasure that we welcome you to the new ArtBeat! A special thanks goes to our Creative Content Manager, Pam Walters, and our summer Social Media Intern, Sophie Dickerson. Together, they worked to create the design, layout and content of this publication, and we are thrilled to share it with you. Inside, you’ll find listings for our Funded Affiliates and our Associate Members, as well as an updated Artist Directory. While organizations have mostly returned to regularly scheduled events, we are still experiencing cancellations and postponements due to Covid-19. As this is the case, we hope you continue to use our online calendar at for the most current information on upcoming events and activities from our arts, science and history organizations. The Art Council is currently updating to a new database system - a tedious but worthwhile task. If one of our staff reaches out to you, please help us by updating your records. In other exciting developments, this year we are hosting workshops for both our nonprofit cultural organizations as well as individual artists. We are also pleased to be offering three grant cycles this fall – Projects Pool, Arts Improvement Grants and Artist Support Grants. For more information about these opportunities, please visit our website. Our Economic Impact Study is now underway! As you see us at cultural events throughout the county, consider taking the time to fill out one of our surveys. It doesn’t take long and it will help us demonstrate how the arts are an important part of our economy. Lastly, thank you for contributing to arts, science and history through our United Arts Fund. If you have not yet made a gift this year, you may donate online through our website, or by mailing it to our address which is listed on page two. Many Thanks,

Ingrid Keller | Executive Director

Alan Jackson | Board President
