When you work with us, nothing’s too much trouble. We’ll pick you up for meetings if you’re having trouble getting out and about and we’ll be a support during your most difficult times. We also work closely with many local businesses and thanks to these connections in the local community, we’ve even been known to help people find the best builders or holidays! Keri Carter, CFPTM

Certified Financial Planner™ Chartered Wealth Manager Managing Director

Keri is hugely passionate about Financial Planning and provides strategic advice to our clients, as well as overseeing the running of our firm. She joined us in 2001 and qualified as a Certified Financial Planner™ in 2007 and went on to be announced as the inaugural winner of the CFP Professional of the Year Award. Since 2001, Keri has been actively involved in promoting the profession through her work as a Board Director of the Institute of Financial Planning (IFP) and, more recently, as Deputy Chairman of the Financial Planning Forum Committee at the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI). She has recently worked as a mentor for the Coventry University Wealth Management Initiative and received the Tony Sellon award in 2017 for her contribution to Financial Planning. Keri also holds the STEP Certificate for Financial Services, Trusts and Estate Planning, bridging the knowledge between BFP and specialist lawyers. Keri is regularly asked to share her views on financial matters by industry publications and national press. Keri is married to Neil and has a daughter, Connie. As well as juggling the challenges of motherhood, she enjoys travelling, skiing and walking their Jack Russell terrier, Bailey.


Meet the Team Claire joined us in 2006 and is our Operations Manager. She is responsible for organising the office logistics, ensuring ongoing regulatory issues are managed on a day-to-day basis, creating our internal procedures and processes to improve the efficiency of the business and implementing our marketing strategies. Julie joined us in 2008 and, as our Paraplanner, has a flair for understanding cashflow planning and the needs of our clients. Directly supporting Keri, Julie is responsible for creating our Lifetime Cashflows, carrying out research for clients and writing detailed reports and plans. She also joins most client meetings, providing a useful point of contact for clients in Keri’s absence. Gill joined us in 2013 as our Administrator. With a background in financial services, Gill brought a wealth of expertise to the firm. Acting as the main contact for clients, Gill provides all of the administrative support to Keri and Julie and is integral in the ongoing relationships with clients. Rebecca moved from Cork in Ireland to join the team as a Trainee Financial Planner in May 2018. She graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and is looking forward to developing her career in Financial Planning. Rebecca will assist Keri in providing advice to clients over the course of time. Caroline joined in 2009 to provide book-keeping and accountancy support. Caroline’s main responsibilities include purchase and sales ledger input, preparation of management accounts and PAYE. Her valuable support is integral to the efficient running of business.

It’s about taking the time to really get to know you, so we can guide you on your journey – giving you all the help and advice you need along the way. If you already have professionals who advise you, we’re more than happy to work with them, ensuring everything runs in total harmony.

Our well-established six-step process is built around planning for your peace of mind and ensures we find the right solution for you.

The first thing we’ll do is listen. We’ll meet with you to get our relationship started and understand where you are in life, where you want to be – and what risks you’re prepared to take to get there. This initial meeting will be at our expense, so will cost you absolutely nothing.

Once engaged by you, we’ll start gathering all the information we need to help you plan for the future. That will probably include details of your income, expenditure, investments, pensions and savings, as well as a clear picture of what you want to achieve.

Once we have all the details, we’ll start looking more closely at everything you’ve told us, analysing all the information to see what your options are – and what can be achieved.

The next step is for us to develop your own, unique financial plan. It will be built around what you’ve told us is important to you and will show you all the possible scenarios you might be faced with.

When your financial plan is agreed, the next step is for us to start implementing it. That might mean accessing some of your pension, making investments, or looking at more tax efficient ways for you to save for your future.

But our job doesn’t stop there. We’ll be constantly monitoring your plan to ensure it lives up to expectations and we’ll meet with you regularly to keep you updated – and find out about any changes happening in your life.

Lifetime Cashflow Planning Of all the services we provide, this is the one that really brings everything together. Before you can make important decisions about your future, it’s crucial that you have a clear picture of all the options available to you. That’s where Lifetime Cashflow Planning can be so useful.


Armed with all your information, we put together long-term cashflow projections that show you what the future will look like, if you carry on living as you are at the moment. Then, by creating a series of cashflow diagrams, we can demonstrate how some simple changes could improve your situation, as well as what the picture would look like if anything catastrophic were to happen, like death or serious illness. We can also show you the possible effects of retiring early or downsizing your property. The Lifetime Cashflow is a crucial part of what we do, because it gives you control over your future, with peace of mind that your goals are achievable.
